Pic on the left is Channellock @ $25; on the right is Kobalt @ $20. Anybody know for sure if they're the same? Sure look like it and specs are the same.

I have no clue if the two are identical, but Channellock is definately not making the sawhorses themselves, and I doubt they would spend much money having something so far outside their main product line made to different specs.

I have the same set from Rural King, they were around 16 buck for the pair. Made in USA. Great buy at 20 bucks, highly recommend.

Interesting but I think I'd be afraid to use them for fear of cutting into the top of them. I think a sacrificial 2x4 on top would make them more appealing.

Yeah, I figure whoever makes them wholesales to different brands for retail. The Channellock version has the name molded in but I suppose that's not difficult. If they're USA made and Channellock puts their name on, I'd hope they're at least reasonable quality.

They're now up to $20 at Rural King, but I can't see paying another $5 for the Channellock name.

I don't think it's exactly what you mean but you can stretch a 2x4 between two of them in the notches on top.

These crappy plastic one's are the type you start a cut with a board on them and finish the cut on the floor.

Yeah, I figure they're light duty but still would work for my purposes...and they're cheap. :D
