I have been working on a old camel back drillpress. I needed to bore a 14" pulley but i had loaned out my phase converter on a long term loan. I wanted to build another converter but i hadnt so i started jerryriging one to do this one job so the press would be done and wouldnt be seating in the middle of the shop. Tonight i had the convert ready to try and it work so tomorrow night i could use my big lathe. Before i left the shop i looked at the lathe i had got this summer to replace my big lathe. It came from a guy that had died i know he had a converter so i thought the lathe was 3ph but when i looked at it the cord only had 2 wires the motor is 1ph 115 volt. If i would have looked at the motor a week ago the drillpress would have been done.

Bad news is it's all downhill now
