24x30 Polebarn is small...

We recently bought a house (North Florida) that has a 24wx30lx16h polebarn that is to small for a shop since I have already filled it up. It is positioned in the back corner, 10' off the property lines, of 2.5 acres. Not an ideal location but it is already there. The wife has given me the green light to add onto it!

My thought is too add 20' to make it 24x50 and the add a 18x50 lean-to on the side that is away from my neighbors. I will take 10' of the 24x50 to make an office and man cave with a little storage above. The 18x50 would be a work shop. The office and work shop would be insulated and have ac.

Any thoughts?

I do love hearing about these shops that are too small... My house, a split entry ranch, has a foot print of 26x52,which includes a 2 car garage that we park in and stores all of my tools. I'm working on plans for a 12x20 workshop in the backyard to have some space for projects

Well let me just say ,I have a 20 x 20 basically a 2car garage.
On one half I park my 95 Dodge Pu. The other is my workbench and toolboxes.
There are times its a squeeze . Maybe rethink. Dont want u to be sorry and wish it were bigger.
