I installed a Big Maxx 50k in my attached garage this last weekend. My insurance agent said it was fine to do as long as it is UL listed. The heater is CSA not UL. Anyone think this is an issue?

Tell your insurance company that it is fine, and if he questions it, have him come out and tell you why it isn't.
CSA (canadian standard approved) is not UL( underwriters laboratory )

Because nothing is certain in life and in the event that something failed and my house blew up or worse, I wanted to make sure I was covered.

The manual leave a lot to be desired. Not much about any of that except a bunch of sentences about codes and such.
