Yeah, I have an inverter in the truck that I've plugged in to run a normal charger. I now have a 120 outlet in my new truck!

Took advantage of the no batteries shipped discount tool program Home Depot likes to offer. Order these things while at work last night and picked them up on the way home. Guess there was some odd things I didn't have in the collection yet. Missing two items that they couldn't find in stock. The new digital inflator/blower and the 9aH battery. Those will get shipped to me instead.
Forgive my ignorance but what is the "no batteries shipped discount tool program", do you just mean their selection of bare tools w/o battery or charger?

He's putting in an online order for the 2-pack batteries (required for the "free" tool) and the free tool.
Selecting "ship" for the batteries and "store pickup" for the tool, then cancelling the batteries after snagging the tool, resulting in the pro-rated refund.
The battery kit costs $129. The tool is "free" but when adding them to your cart, or purchasing in store, you'll see the batteries are pro-rated at, say, $73.92 and the "free" tool pro-rated at $55.08.
When all is said and done, after you cancel the batteries, or return them in-store, you're paying the (in this example) $55.08 for the free tool.
I picked up (2) 9.0Ah batteries and the bandsaw this week, to the tune of $387.
When I return the 3.0Ah battery kits, I'll end up getting something like $210 back, so the final cost to me will be $177.

You buy the 2 pack battery kit that gives you the "free" tool. You select shipping on the batteries and pick a tool for local store pick up. In your cart the price is discounted between the two items. Check out and as soon as you get the confirmation email, you click on the check status, then cancel will appear for only the batteries. Click that and then you only get charged for the discounted tool when the local store fills the order.

If you do it with the shipping method you don't even get charged for the batteries. You just cancel them from the email you get.

9aH for 32 or all 3 batteries for 79 if you set your shopping zipcode to 48858. Keeping them all at 79 is a killer deal or do the split shipping and pickup. My local stores were out of 9aH so I had to ship it all and I'll return some of the starter kits.

I did all that up on the 4th just above in my post. Never posted a picture of the new digital inflator/deflator I got as well, but had to go to a different store for it after it got cancelled at the two closer ones. I also ended up with 5 of the $79 zipcode specials with the "free" 9Ah batteries. I sold off 4 of the 9Ah's and 2 of the starter kits. I'll return the other 3 starter kits over the weekend. Surprisingly, I got no tools for Christmas, because I bought all those on special for myself prior to Christmas.

i may have finally reached that critical mass with Ryobi tools to go get some real Ryobi 18v lithium batteries. I have been using my DeWalt batteries with an adapter. So i had 2 older P501 (blue) circular saws, & a D400 sander. But i recently got the hot glue gun and the caulk gun so i may spring for the batteries finally.
I also have some blue ryobi corded tools. a nice drill set & a reciprocating saw that is still going strong. Ryobi has always been a good value.

The drywall Screw gun. I have a big drywall project coming up. I originally bought the Dewalt but returned it after buying the Ryobi. Head to head the Ryobi works just as good and has more features.

Yes it does i was impressed after i tried it the dust buster vac you are correct i was not impressed either. Guess i expected more from it the little cup filled up too fast and not very strong suction.

I had the original blue one that came in my giant set that started me on the one+ path. If you held it anywhere remotely vertical stuff would fall out of it faster than it could **** anything up. Threw it away and never considered another. Love that 3 gallon vac though!

I have the 3 gallon one also it is fantastic. Use it on the cars all the time. Just needs the higher amp battery.

Sounds as if you have been on the Ryobi platform for a while. I have 1 or 2 of the blue Ryobi. I was a C3 fan till that platform sort of fell apart. Hence switched to Ryobi and havent looked back.

I’ve been on the One+ 18V platform since 2001. Almost 20 years now. I no longer have my first set (drill + flashlight + 2 NiCad batteries).
But have expanded my collection significantly in the last few years.
My oldest tools date back to when they first started swapping to the lime green.

I've been on it since 2004 and purely by accident. That massive set was an awesome deal and I needed several of the tools like the chainsaw and hacksaw at the time. I had no idea the one+ system was going to be the future and considered cordless tools throw away items at the time because of bad experiences with nearly all the big brands. Ryobi changed it all for me and I'm still a huge fan today.

^ Seems kind of expensive (for just a head) and bulky to end up with what, ~ 20 ft-lbs? I don't imagine it speeding up work much, and even in a tight spot w/shorty ratchet I can usually generate 20 ft-lbs with a hand ratchet... guess it depends on exactly what you're doing.
I do think a 3/8" ratchet is something they ought to think about adding to their tool line, but maybe not with their 18V legacy battery format. 12V triple cell inline with the handle seems more appropriate.

you should look up the prices of the ridgid and ryobi options..
Money can be better spent outside of the ryobi line on this, but for guys that just WANT it.. thats the cheapest option you’ll find. It’s the oversea’s ridgid brand I believe.

Last I saw there was a seller in Australia with international shipping for around $150 for the entire tool, not just the head.

That is a ridiculous price. I think it may be discontinued which is why the price may be so high. Not currently available at Home Depot. Normally the Jobmax heads are $40 to $60.Here’s the Ridgid branded one..
I don't have the ratchet but i have a lot of the other Jobmax (right angle drill, multitool, drywall cutter, and autohammer). I have both the 12v & 18v version Jobmax tools and i have been pretty happy with them.
For a powered ratchet i have the Milwaukee M12.

I just had a bad experience with Ryobi which has left a bad feeling about them. I had 2 batteries go bad recently ,so I looked at my Ryobi page and saw they were less than 3 yrs old by a few months so I called to warranty them. The answer I got is that registering the tools is only in case they have a recall not for warranty purposes if I didn't have the receipt I was s.o.l. as they would go by the manufacturing date. Luckily I found my receipt and there is 1 month left on my warranty so I called back with the receipt and they reluctantly agreed the batteries were under warranty but they only sent 1 and lost the paperwork for the other and since they said drop the old bateeries in the box for recycling I don't have the old ones but they say they will be generous and send the second battery. still waiting 2 weeks now for it.

I like the Ryobi Sawzall and I actually have one but it doesn't compare to the Milwaukee Sawzall for cutting ability vs battery life
