Leaf spring car on scissor lift experiences needed

Been reading a lot about (dis)advantages of a scissor lift, but there is one thing that I can't find a good answer on so looking for your experiences.

Will I be able to drop leaf springs and the rearend on a classic car like a Camaro when working on a scissor lift or is it quite impossible due to the design? I think the last, but I don't like to answer my own questions without experience, so looking for your input. Thanks.

Just to be sure: have you done it? I wouldn't worry about pulling engine/trans in a FWD too. But I can't imagine leafs not interfering with the platforms leaving no space to work on the front hinge and dropping them.

Depends on the vehicle and depends on the lift. I've never had access problems on my scissor lift and worst case I just put a few more spacer blocks to give me room between the lift and the vehicle.

This is the answer. Once you have it make a set of 4 inch tall blocks so even if the front leaf spring eye is over the aft end of the lift platform you could till get in there to remove the bolt.

I've been working on the rear end of my Ventura which is the same as a 1st gen or similar (depending on year) chassis. I have 4x4 blocks, as stated above, that allow enough clearance to pull the leafs. I set the rear on jack stands and lower the lift and let the leafs droop which allows enough room.

It's a pain to do something with front and rear leaves

If the car is short enough you can slid the arms and lift right on the axle.
I have a Snap-On/Wheeltronics 6500# and it is awesome!
