I'm looking to get a Bendpak RBJ4500 rolling bridge jack for my 4-post lift (HD-9). They cost $1600+ and I've noticed there are a few non-Bendpak rolling bridge jacks that seem to fit my HD-9, and cost less than half. Can anyone vouch for a non-Bendpak version, or should I just **** it up and get the real thing?

Rollers would be a luxury. I have a Titan one from Greg Smith equipment and it just has HDPE p plastic sliders.

It's held up just fine. At some point it'd be nice to add an air over hydraulic pump so I don't have to hand pump but then I'd have to drag the air hose out.

Search and you will find a thread in which someone found another brand that fits for half the price. It’s manual pump but that is fine and it’s also low profile. I forget the brand. Was within the last 18 months, probably within the last 12. I have 2 of the bendpak jacks — expensive.

pbon - actually, I just realized that I asked you a about the SVI extensions for the Bendpak RJ45 in that thread. Can you post details about them? I couldn't find anything about them on the website -thx

The extensions are 13” and add about 8”. Heavy gauge rectangular steel. The fit is slightly loose, leading to some droop. I don’t need the full extension, just 2-3” each so the droop for me is not too bad. I’d rather have the bridge jack arms go a few more inches than use the extensions. Or pay for them.

I currently have the Jp-3 jack tray thing from BendPak. Although it has extensions that pull out for use when the runways are set to the wide position, the platform part itself is too narrow to be of much use. It's too narrow to position bottle jacks under the inner-most frame rails on a Porsche 944, which means too narrow for the vast majorty of cars. Not sure what they were thinking? It's also like what WhoWhatNow says about the SVI extensions -- when pulled all the way out, it droops and gives little comfort. I might have to break out the welder and see if I can make it more useful somehow.

I did see the air requirements for the BendPak RBJ4500 were pretty high -- 10-20CFM at 125psi. My compressor is rated at 12.9CFM at 90psi, so a little light maybe. I'm guessing it will just be slower?

The Advantage jack is intriguing for sure -- actually looks nicer to me, and more width-range, although I can't currently envision a need for anything wider than the bendpack RBJ4500. It does seem weird that the car's weight is supported by rolling wheels attached to the end of those round bars on the Advantage version. Seems like "something" should hook over the rail as a backstop if nothing else?

So I just measured the ground clearance under the car and the lowest thing (a downpipe) is about 3 7/8" above the runways/ground. Will that clear the RBJ4500? I've read that the jack stands up "about" 4 inches, so sounds close. The low point on the car is pretty much in the middle of the car (side to side) so am wondering where the high point of the RBJ4500 is -- in the middle, on the side, same everywhere?
