If I missed a specific thread for this, I am sorry. I just wanted to introduce myself.

I honestly have a TON to learn about tools and my garage/workshop needs improvement. That's part of why I'm here. Anytime I Google a question I have, this place is a lifesaver. Figured I might as well join.

Also, last summer, visiting my Mother, I stumbled upon some of my late Grandfather's old tools. I have always loved collecting, vintage, etc. Something just clicked for me. I started perusing pawn shops, etc and have definitely picked up some vintage wrenches. Sold a couple, kept a few. But I love the vintage tool discussions.

Anyway, thanks for having me!!

She is in Mass. I am in Tx. She shipped some. Next summer I
will be able to go through his shed and pick out some more items. Here is what she sent.

That's a great start, and I love that they belonged to your grandad. Be warned tho... you are stepping onto a slippery slope... and before long you may be scratching your head, trying to figure out where you can put your latest 72" Monarch lathe acquisition, or your third Delta Unisaw. Don't worry, when that time comes, we'll be here to advise and keep you on the slope.
