Ok so I'm just about to start on my floor but one thing has me stumped - where do you guys end your tiles with respect to the garage doors? Will the door close with the decking under it? Or are you stopping just short so that the door closes on the original concrete?

I kind of like the idea of bringing the flooring as far out as possible and I'm hoping my automatic garage doors will close right over it. It is a 22x22 two car and I am very excited about finally doing this! Thanks everyone and I look forward to sharing pics and learning...

My floor goes right up to the door. The edging then sticks out about 2/3 out the door.

So, the door does comes down on the flooring with no problem.

Like others have mentioned, we layed it out so the ramps were just inside the door opening. :)

So mine do stick out the door a about 4 inches. I have a garage door opener. Zero problems. Looks cool.

We normally like to finish the tiles at the door seal without anything exposed once the door is closed. We have found that if the sun rises or sets in front of your garage, the tiles will more than likely warp and noticeably be faded. Good luck!
