I was loading up some scrap metal at a guys place and he walks out of the garage carrying a large vise heading towards my trailer. I cut him off and said I'll just put that in the truck. Just noticed the No 2x this am when I went out to take a pic after doing a small bit of research last night. Any thoughts on year?I'm just giddy...I was loading up some scrap metal at a guys place and he walks out of the garage carrying a large vise heading towards my trailer. You scored big time. That Starrett looks really crisp.
YJD, there is a Vise parts swap thread. Posting here is a rules violation.
Recently restored this Record No. 5 vise. I couldn’t for the life of me order the correct Paragon Blue from the UK so I went down to the local tool store and found a close match. The paint used is actually an enamel pinstriping paint (see photo). I also somewhat restored the original decal.
It's ok man ... I appreciate the help [emoji4]That's my fault - I pointed him here. I didn't know about the parts-swap thread (though it is a Vise of GJ...)
Would it be ok if I posted a pic of the actual vise? And ask if anyone has parts for it?YJD, there is a Vise parts swap thread. Posting here is a rules violation.
