What are your thoughts on this impact socket storage?

I'm looking into buying the complete Wright metric impact socket set, and found this item that they sell to organize the complete set (D959B). I'm not a pro wrench, just work from home so this would let me attach to the wall and free up some room in the toolbox. I'm on the fence about it, what do you guys think?

That is cool. It would not work for me as it would get too dusty from my projects. If you have a clean, dry area that they will be easy to access, then I say go for it.

see i wish they had one that would fit in the chest, that holds the larger sockets also, every sockey tray i see seems to stop at like 27mm, nothing beyond that

if anyone know of any that go beyond, that would b great

Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna make the plunge and get it. It'll be hung on a wall next to the work bench and my tool box, and other than light dust it won't see anything else. It'll free up a ton of space in the box as well

I'm a fan of the Ernst socket organizers. The pre-numbered trays never seem to match the sockets I have (e.g. 6-24 3/8" short). Ernst give complete flexibility and I like the stick on numbers so I can quickly see what I'm grabbing.

The Facom socket inserts are great too.

Shock and awe, my friend! That is just sweet. I use Wright impacts, particularly the wheel nut sockets, and i can tell you, they are as good as it gets.

That's a cool rack, but Im a creature of habit. I am too used to my impact sockets being in the top of one of my boxes. If I changed it now I would be lost.

i prefer the blow mold cases that Sunex and GP use. Wish everyone made one. Kinda handy having a compact case for every single socket.

That is a good looking setup. I would have a concern storing black oxide tools out in the open like that. If you have an unconditioned shop, that is subject to temp and humidity changes you will soon have a rusty mess up there on the wall. BO sockets in the drawer or in high usage will have less problems. Think about long term care...

Umm, this thread is more than a year and a half old. Something tells me he made a decision a long time ago.

The Wright impact sets with merchandiser displays are very nice, but they're not cheap. Around $1000 for D959. I'm not going to say I haven't considered it, my D978 and D980 have me thinking of more of the Wright merchandiser sets. The D962 and D963 Nupla hammer sets are darn nice.

Honest to God for that amount of money 4 blocks of pine, some dowels, a piece plywood and a can red paint...call it a day!
