Does this even exist? I have a small workstation where I use an air gun regularly. Its so dang LOUD! Especially when blowing into small holes, it whistles. (I'm not sure how to make that sound any better haha) I only use 40 psi at this station but still seems so dang loud.

Change over to a cheap air brush and turn the pressure down.

an air brush as in air paint brush? ill turn it down more and see what happens.

I was thinking something along the lines of something with a wider pattern that might not whistle because it's not a direct stream of air into the "whistle"

Exair makes very quiet OSHA approved blow guns that are what you are looking for. Very high air movement rates with very low actual air used. In industrial settings they can save 75% or more of air usage and do it quietly. Exair.com is their website and you can down load or request a catalog for what you are looking for. They use air multipliers and other designs to give superb results. I bought several of them and you can also buy nozzles and change them on air guns you already have.

Would l this li'l gizmo from Milton help? I have one, never pondered quietness. It seems like less noise to me. Certainly a different noise. What it does otherwise is more more air, less focused/more evenly.

Easily clamped on and on off with knurled wheel.

Cheeze louise, there's always someone extolling the virtues of some thing, and when I go look at it it's a gazillion bux!

Case in point, $105 for that Exair blow gun......I got mine from HF about 20 years ago for $3.95. Still have it, still works fine.

I would imagine if he's working on fuel injectors, he needs a very small orifice to blow thru?

Try some hearing protection. That usually does the trick...

Seriously. I looked at the Exair, saw what it cost and noped right on out of there. I think mine is from Homeless Despot, but it does the job I need it to do.

I'm definitely going to look into these. They sound expensive by the comments below but for one work station it might be worth it.

Thats what I do now. It works ok, but doing so much of this it would speed up my process a ton.

As for hearing protection, I have it and do wear it, but this is literally the loudest part of my process, nothing else is that loud.

There was a comment above referring to a small orifice. That's not really an issue for me, as I'm just blowing off the cleaning liquid so I don't contaminate my test fluid.
