I just had a 3-head Daikin mini split system put in my basement.

I observed the following power consumption when the system was idle at night.

The power usage toggled between 45W and 10W. At 45W, was the system keeping the compressor coils warm to prevent freezing?

For this particular figure, the temps were in the 50s.

10W is probably just the electronics. 45W is more likely the lowest speed the compressor can run at.

All the heads/blowers are OFF in the basement. So I was wondering what is the 45W used for?
