wall cabinets picts. and info.

looking for some input on some wall cabinets show off some picts and comment on the price a quality of the cabinets that you have either bought or made . I am looking to get rid of all of my open shelving and replace it with some enclosed wall cabinets.

Here is some cabinets that I built a while back. The stiles are made out of 1x3's, the sides are made out of 1x12's, all pine. The doors were gotten for $5/door.

I don't have mine yet but i'm going with Ikea Kitchen cabinets I'll be doing the wall ones first and then get my bottom ones with the metal feet after I do the floor.. I've check and check and this is the way i'm going to go

I have my sheet metal forming eqpt down alongside my paint booth, and used the wasted space above them for storage. I figured sheet metal cabinets would be less weight than wood, so these went up. They're just bolted through the booth:

I've gotten rid of almost all my shelving. The biggest payoff is in how things now don't get covered in sawdust or metal debris. It's also a much less cluttered look.

I put soffit style cabinets up high and (second-hand) metal ones down below.

Here's a look inside the lower ones.

I fit 42 bins inside this one:

This one has fasteners in small bins on the doors, room for a ladder on the side and also a place to hang my overalls. That top shelf has a few hundred pounds of angle plates. A Strong Hold cabinet is rated to hold 1900 pounds per shelf (although I've pulled most of the big Strong Hold shelves, though, to fit more inside).

Metal saw and miter saw can both stay out of sight when I'm not using him. The stereo stays cleaner inside the cabinet, too.

Here is an example of metal office cabinets converted into hanging shop cabinets.

The shelft frame is made of coated plywood and dimensional lumber.

Mine are basic solid oak cabinets from LOWES. Used oil based white with stainless eyelets for pulls and set them up on a 6" pedestal for a little more height.

here is a pict. of my corner shelf and cabinet along with my almost finished bench. things are starting to look a little more finished.hope to by more like this and replace my open shelves.if I keep looking on here for more ideas I will never get to work on cars again.dam garage journal.lol.

Medium duty....This link is the size for all but the first cabinet, it is the number above on the catalog page. The price was closer to 120 when I bought them a few years ago, but they do well for organizing stuff for me in what was an otherwise wasted space. I was worried that wooden cabinets would have added too much weight.

So many people have great cabinet systems! The more I look at all the garage cabinet trends out there, the more I really like the mobile storage cabinets. Of course, they wouldn't replace your built-in cabinets, but I think they can help you make your most often used materials more acceptable.
