Well the first house that we put offer on fell through that had a 36x24 shop so we were determined to find something else. This one popped up I won't spare all the details but it comes with a 2 year old that is 60 x 36! If all goes well we close on May 8th.

The hardest part is done our offer was accepted now just getting through the inspections.
Besides the obvious attraction the shop the sale includes another parcel which is an acre that sits between the house and the road that is slightly traveled. Finally I will be able to get my Mercury collection into one place and not have to pay someone else for storage people may be paying me!

The aerial photo looks very promising.

Hope all goes well and looking for more detailed photos once you take possession. Best of luck with the purchase.

Looks like a nice shop. What does a property such as that run in your neck of the woods? Up here in Bellingham, prices are insane for pathetic pieces of property.

One thing I would caution you on is storing other people's stuff...it renders your shop space unusable and you will have to have a buffer too...can't lay stuff across the tops of their cars because its not yours, etc. You will lose a large chunk of space. If you need the extra income for paying on your mortgage, that's a separate issue.

If I need the money for the Mortgage I best not be buying this property :) As of right nice the price is $517k but that's prior to all the inspections being done.

You do bring up some good points on storing other folks cars probably if I were to store anything it would be neatly outside storage next to the shop but that's down the road.

I just really want to be able to enjoy my cars under one roof and be able to work on them. I may have a hook up on a 2 post lift so crossing my fingers on that.

Thanks.

Looks like the house has an attached garage with a shed next to that? Perfect plot you have there, how much land all together? I'm really digging the non-square cleared area. I hope to find/build something like that someday. 100 acres or bust.

No where near 100 acres just 2 acres. The nice thing is if I ever wanted to sell the front acre it's already on it's own parcel # with the county but I have no plans to do that. Right now I will let the bank finance raw land which we all know isn't easy. The acre, house, and the garage is worth what I paid for everything. So i look at it like the front acre was a bonus:bounce:

Best of luck on the inspections. That looks like a great property and can't wait to see the Mercury collection in one place also.

Congrats on finding a proper site, hope everything goes your way with inspections and purchase process.

Where is the front of the house? It is sort of hard to tell what is what from that aerial shot, the from of the house does not seems to face the road.

The attached garage sits parallel to the road.

Gorgeous location, but all those trees make me a bit nervous. What is the risk of a fire tearing through there?

Yes, congrats! That looks like a killer shop

Careful about inspections. They often don't go deep enough, but at the same time can be whistle-blowers on stuff you wish they'd ignored. May cause trouble with insurance and banks... things don't get 'unseen'.

Funny that your avatar is the shop that's not yours yet. :lol_hitti

Looks like a great place. We need pictures of the inside of the shop.

Great looking place. Love all the trees lots of privacy that way. The Mercs are cool. I had a 63 Meteor till I move to Montana. Fun cars that you don't see anymore.

This has been my experience as well, having been burned by both "not deep enough" and "too nitpicky deep" home inspections.

Best of luck to you on the closing process octanefam, and thanks for sharing the phonetic pronunciation of Puyallop. I drove past the town of Bucyrus, Ohio many times before I learned how to say it.

The house and shop look good, and I also like the triangular-shaped cutout in your two acre lot.
