I am looking for some very small snap ring pliers or even medical pliers where the ends curl outwards. Most snap ring pliers etc don't have the ends curling outwards. The photo below is a medical tool where the ends curled outward, but it's not very strong and the ends have become bent, but it gives an idea of the size I want when I say very small. Can you get pliers this small?

Anything that small isn't going to be much stronger than those. What are you using these for?

That's small.

The forged SO snap ring pliers start at 0.038" and the tips point out. ( SRPC3800 ) Good ones should point out but the material behind them may not / may need clearancing.

My old set of crapsman lock ring pliers (9-47386?) are something I would grind and bend (because I have a better pair,) depending on what you're doing.

When they are fully closed what does gap between the ends measure? Is the gap a similar measurement to that shown in my picture?

Also when I say I want the ends pointing outward, I mean like 45 degrees or even 90 degrees.

Probably not going to be much help.
These are from a company in Australia known as KC Tools. I think they are Chinese made like most of their other tools. Not a brand I would normally buy but I have found these very useful working on pneumatic and other stuff with small circlips.
On some I have filled the tips to give more tapper.

Sorry about the pic quality.

Tony

Look for replaceable tip types.

Thanks for your reply. I have been looking, but don't find anything as small as above. Do you have any suggestions for specific tools?

Also when I say ends curling out, I mean this sort of angle:

If you can beef up the jaws you can make the tips super thin. The closer you can get the ring to the shoulder the better for keeping the force in shear and not in cantilevered bending.

Making a super long flexible arm doesn't seem like the best way unless there's another constraint you're not giving us :)
