Thanks to this thread and specifically your post sk farmer, I just placed an order for one from HF and yes you are mostly definitely correct about the price value for it!

I'm surprised Honda has Steelman making tools for them :dunno:

The Harbor freight version is the same as the original KD now Gearwrench versions. Although you can use other tools for push pins, those pliers are cheap enough that there's no real reason not to have a pair if you work on late model vehicles.

hope you like them. as fedwrench said many modern vehicles use them and not much excuse to not have the correct tool for such a low cost. many polaris atv and side by sides have them as well.

Ditto. Given that they're everywhere, I need this tool!

Meh. You don't have a pair of crappy slip joint pliers in a junk drawer and a grinder? Come to think of it, I really could use one of these tools. Gonna go dig for those crappy pliers now...

The advantage that I see with this tool is that both ends are functional tools and that can be handy if you are in the middle of lets say, disassembly of components and find yourself stuffed in a cramped area and just don't feel like crawling out for another tool. Been there many a time

in most case i would say have at it. the reason the hf push pin pliers work so well is that they actually work well and actually are built to a tolerance.
it would not be worth the time and effort to screw around with a crappy set of pliers and end up with a sub par tool when a very good one can be had for so cheap.
