Being a retired graphic artist, I think it would be cool to have a map made of your place just for fun. Much like the illustrated versions of various them parks, etc. Those things are to me always fun to look at. It could be as serious OR tongue in cheek as you wanted.

Thanks for the visit. Yes this place has a lot to look at for sure. I have one guy that works here with me 50 hrs per week. His main responsibility is maintaining the grounds. those koi are the 3rd batch in 13 years we have killed two sets by bad water. These came about 8 years ago and were 3" fish at the time. They are all over a foot long now.

On post 6577 a couple of pages back I started working on an air brush compressor. I've made some headway on it today and thought I'd share my progress. My last post on it was 6582 where I showed the pump in pieces and primed.
Well the pump is painted, The pulleys and base painted silver and the motor is apart, sand blasted and smoothed with my die grinder.

Thanks for the visit. We have a nice lil sitting bench next to the koi pond. Ann and I sit and visit from time to time and just enjoy the surroundings and the splash of the waterfall.
We have 3 large tortoise 2 males and a female. The larger male is always poking fun at the female but no babies yet but lotz of eggs buried

I managed to work on the lub station just a bit today.
I cleaned up the greaser name badges before painting them.
First they were bead blasted

They are done until I spray them with paint then I'll sand the paint off the shiny area and finish brightening them up

Today I finally left my house after being locked in for 30 days.
A quick trip to the tire shop because Ann picked up a screw in her tire driving around the yard. So as long as we were out Ann wanted some flowers for the yard. So off to Home Depot.

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE THAT WAS
Ane way in, one way out They only let so many people in at a time and count you as you inter and exit Every one wares a mask so you don't know who is next to you (6' away) lines as long as the building to get in and the same length line to check out and the kicker was only 2 people in any isle at a time

A 20 minute trip to Home depot is now a couple hour experience.

I'm staying home from now on

Yeah, I went to HD the other day to get 3/8 pipe *******. Drove up in the parking lot and saw a line out into the parking lot and went to Ace Hardware. Less time and didn't have to fight the line.

The wife and I went to Home Depot last weekend too just to get out, we were looking at some vinyl flooring and they have small samples of their products for you to take home, well they had a sign on the samples saying because of the Coronavirus you were not allowed to touch or take the samples out of the store? WTH

My wife and I have just finished building our deck with many trips to HD, I go at 6:00 when they first open. Typically I'm one of about 10 people in the store that early.

Don, I was out in my garage to take a photo of some grease I bought back in the '60s. I was re-assembling the manual transmission for my '56 Chevy and needed grease to hold the needle bearings in place. My Pennzoil 706 wasn't stiff enough so I bought a 5-pound can of Quaker State special wheel bearing grease for disk brake equipped cars (rare back then). They didn't have a smaller can and I was desperate so I think I forked over $3.

I am the original owner of both cans of grease and if you could use them in the Pennzoil garage or a Quaker State garage, I'd be happy to get them off my shelf to make room for something else. My wife and kids will toss these in the trash when I'm gone so I would love for them to survive. If you are interested, PM me your address or PO Box and I'll ship them out to you.

Not sure if Ann is interested in the Vaseline jar for the General Store. We bought it in 1962 or '63 when we had babies in diapers.

It was specifically labeled for infants, not for use in the garage. Unless maybe I'm misunderstanding "HELPS PREVENT DIAPER RASH."

The bottom of the jar has the original price sticker when it sold for $1.69. Knowing Liane, there's no way she's paying that so the 50% off price stamped over the original price ($0.79) is what she paid. A re-cycling symbol is missing from the jar -- it dates from a simpler time.

I'd be happy to box up and ship these items (or any subset) to you. It's OK if it isn't something you need.

I went back today knowing the situation. I got in the cash out line and when I got up to the cashier I told her what I wanted to get and she charged me and sent me over to the big door and told me to wait and the guys would bring up my order.

Ha 10 bags of cement and 10 2x4s
I had parked by the big door so when the guys showed up with the forklift and my cement and boards we went out and they loaded me up.

I polished up the handle today and got the motor painted so tomorrow it all goes back together and I'll have to find another small project to start on cause by 2 P.M. I need to sit and work on a bench project.

YS: I started to watch that 90 minute movie and I bet it's interesting, but I'm more a naked steel kinda guy so maybe i'll watch the other 85 minutes later and spend some time here looking at more tool **** or learning how to do something I didn't know how to.

I'm glad you like that green color. I wasn't sure it would look as good as it does. I went for a brighter green like what I put on another compressor a long time ago but the can of green paint was dried up so this color is left over from doing a pump in associated gas color

That airbrush compressor came out great. My father had a similar compressor. In the '50's he used to shoot weddings . Everything was B&W then, but he'd choose a few of the best photos and 'color' them with skintone highlites with the airbrush and compressor.

To address the question of my power problem' yes I have purchased a large generator and have it in position for the party garage but because of this virus and my income being slashed and don't know when it will be back to normal I'm on a cautious budget.

No Shorty I don't have a mixing bank here. I have to order each color that I want/need but I can and do mix several colors together to tint a color now and then.
