I have a bunch of Mac and Snap-on that I'm going to sell. A few need to be warranted should i warranty them then sell or sell broken?

don't fix, just give them to me... just kidding.... more seriously, warrantey them first, then you can say they are "new" worth a bit more that way to some... besides some do not have access to the tool trucks to get them warrentied... kind of excludes them from possible sales... JMO

Does that even have to be asked? Who would want to knowingly buy broken hand tools?

Uh...there is a warranty?!

What I was driving at was, if he bought them used, then broke them...as to answer his poll question.

What's the matter with everyone tonight...someone take a dump in their cheerios?! :headscrat

depends how hard it is for you to warranty them. Do you have a dealer that can easily warranty them for you? Basically is it worth the effort you have to put out to warranty them for the extra money you may get selling a new tool vs a broken one.

Assuming you'd sell them even if repaired, warranty them and sell them. Buying broken tools means hassle for the buyers to warranty them themselves, save them the trouble, and make more of that internet money! :D

Thanks for all of the responses.

This is my situation i often get tools that are broken and used. Mostly snap-on and mac. I do keep what i need or don't have and sell the rest. My snap-on guy is great he knows i buy used stuff and resale to make extra money to buy what i really want and need. I mostly buy new snap-on because i see him every week. My dilemma is my Mac man, I used to buy some stuff from him when i saw him regular, but since i changed jobs i haven't seen him in a few months. I don't have much to get fixed just a couple of screwdrivers.
Maybe I'll give him a call and see what happens.
