Do they make glue in plugs for PVC boxes?

I have a 3 hole box that I need to plug one outlet on. It's glue in, not threaded. I'm sure I could use a rubber stopper and it'd be water tight but if there is a glue in plug I'd be all ears. Or even a glue in 1/2 to 1/2 threaded that I can thread a plug in would work. This is all schedule 40 if that matters.

Thanks much, Dave.

I was hoping not to go that route but I guess I might have to. if you end up going with a glue on to male adapter and I'll just screw on a cap which gives me the ability to reuse this particular port later if I want to

I actually have some of those but since this is going to be outside I would rather have it watertight to be honest

No I think my method of the msle adapter and thread on cap is my best bet. Water tight and I can unscrew the car later and run more conduit from that port of need be.

Rubber plugs like these would work. Most automotive jobbers should have them.

They may deteriorate over time in the sunlight though.

For future reference, there are glue in plugs.
Try Home Depot, plumbing aisle.

Dura Corp 1/2 in. Sch. 40 PVC Plug, Model# C449-005
Dura Corp 3/4 in. Schedule 40 PVC Plug, Model# C449-007

Those are designed to cap the outside diameter of PVC pipe and I don’t think it will work for his intention of plugging his outlet box.

That'd work. This is under a deck and not exposed to UV. I'll keep those in mind for next time.

Thanks

I ended up w/ a stub to a 1/2" threaded fitting which I capped w/ a threaded cap. Water tight and reusable if need be.

Its listed as a plug, not a cap, at home depot.
From that picture, it could be either, but unless you have it in your hand you're making assumptions, or you picked the wrong piece out of the bin.

Here's the same P/N 449-005 at Amazon, clearly a plug.

Hard to tell if that is a cap or a plug but I looked everywhere and asked the plumbing guy about these as well as electric guy if they had these but they said they didn't. I didn't see them either but their website says they stock them, wtf. So either these are actually caps or they hide them VERY well.

That slip plug is designed to be glued inside a PVC fitting such as connector, tee, elbow etc.

thanks for the info guys, good to know for next time. HD definitely does NOT have a 1/2" PVC plug but do have a cap. Threaded and glue on.
