Here’s a pic of the box I screenshot the label from. It’s on that one site...Thank you, sir.
A few of us have wartime Simonsen toolboxes. They were one of two main suppliers (the other being the more well-known Kennedy) of a large hip roof style carry box with enclosed drawers inside cantilevered lids that the USN and the USAAF favored. They did not have that decal, which is very space age-y. It has a pre-1963 postal code. Factory was located in Humboldt Park (60651). Hence the "51" (pre-zip) postal code.
EDIT: Here's a logo on a KW-era toolbox.
Hmm. That is a neat hybrid hip roof/machinists configuration I have never seen before. Guessing the lids flip open, no cantilevers, with a main compartment on top of the two pull out drawers. Here’s a pic of the box I screenshot the label from. It’s on that one site...
Nice ones!

For sure. The socket drive tools are rare enough, due to limited production, finding a box would be a real coup. They made plenty of kits for automobiles, also the US Army in the Interwar years, which came in roll-ups and pouches, but I have never seen one of those, either. The only thing I have that isn't a tool itself with the Vlchek name on it is a DOE wrench set holder.vlchek is a tough one
Nice Triplett box, Beemer. What's in it? A multimeter?A few more from around the shop

Looks like a long c heritage hybrid!
Ooba is it a decal or metal plate? Seen the plates, not a decal like that, iirc.

Hi Ooba,
Great thread you got going. Thank you all for sharing your cool pics. I saw this tool for sale in surrounding area and thought it would be appropriate to share here.
