Quick question about mhf wire entering steel building

I'm bringing in my main mhf wire from the outside through 2 inch conduit. Once it enters my steel building. Does it still need to be encased in conduit. It's probably a 2-foot run from the entrance to the Box. Exposed wire would be behind plywood wall. Melbourne FL

Yes it needs to be in conduit all the way to the panel because it doesnt have an outer sheath

AFAIK, no. Mine was recently done and the only conduit used was to get it from the wall to underground. Nothing interior is in conduit, including the bare run to my water line

I can't say if it was required or not, but we did it for looks.

The PVC adapter needs a bushing, & why not invert the box for bottom feed to avoid excess cable in the panel gutter? Keeps things from being sloppy. There is no right side up/upside down with those panels, just top feed/ bottom feed.

In your setup, conduit makes perfect sense. There is nothing to secure the wire to.

If it's #6 or larger and run tight to the structure, no. The conduit is unnecesary.
Anything smaller than #6, it needs conduit all the way
