High lift door spring sizing

I am able to get everything I need to raise the track on my garage door but I need to figure out the size for torsion springs for the extra lift. I know I can buy a kit through DDM but that's my last resort for now. I have reached out to a couple local companies and discussed a them getting the parts but never got a quote I'm sure they are working with a skeleton crew so I understand but I want to get this done.

Has anyone had luck calculating spring size for the extra lift or know of a retailer that will size and sell just springs?

Just curious, I would think the spring would be the same as the door weight is the same. Would just need longer cables and the cable winders.

I would thkng with standard door tracks the force needed to open the door is less as the more the door opens because every section that is horizontal is not weight being lifted. The springs on normal tracks wouldn't have the torque for the additional lift before the door gets "lighter". The torsion springs also have less force each time the shaft turns. Obviously I am not an expert since I'm asking though lol

Try DDM's spring calculator...
https://ddmgaragedoors.com/springs/...fg=&model=&dimensions=&num=&struts=&windows=0

Weigh your door. Type of drums account for the highlift.

Also try this for highlift…..

So you are saying for the high lift conversion the springs would be the same and the drums would be making up for the amount of rotations needed for the additional lift before the horizontal tracks?
