Yeah, they look way way off. Fortunately I didn't have my heart set on them and while they are nowhere near big enough for what I wanted them for I've got more than enough files still that I'll get them mounted on something before too long. I just grab file handles whenever I see them cheap and between them and chopping up broken shovel handles and branches I am actually approaching the point where I won't need any more. As nice as store bought handles are sometimes it's nice to use one with a handle you made yourself.

I have been upgrading my file handles lately. The needle file handles, that I made myself, will have a home in my “good” file drawer until the actual files break.

The first picture, is how my drawer started. The second picture, is how my drawer is now. The third picture, is the unbranded file handles that I will give to my friends that have files without handles. They do not have USA on them.

I still have four handles that I want to replace.

I doubt that I will ever really “need” another file.

If I bought another, it would be truck tool brands at estate sales and garage sales. I will continue to buy up all the factory made needle file handles at estate sales and garage sales, as well. I also look for the cast iron file handles... but I have only found one so far.

...The pliers though, the pliers are the real gems. The Wilde flush joint pliers are really nice, super solid in your hand and the flush joint just looks awesome!...
I agree, these are in my opinion the best slip-joint pliers I've ever used, by far. I discovered these last year and wound up buying two full sets - one with vinyl grip and one without (mine are Proto-branded but they are the exact same thing made by Wilde). Really, really awesome, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

Added some Snap On to my cart today. Have grown less-satisfied with the Pittsburgh (a little fiddly with the quick-release and the handle makes it a little less great to use), so I decided to see how the Snap-On does...

Having two 1/4" swivels running different-size sockets was awesome over the last couple weeks as I was buttoning up my old BMW.

Also grabbed a lightly-used F80 from a member here. First SO ratchet. This thing is clearly nicer than I deserve. So beefy...

As I've been re-organizing my garage, I found the first SO tool I ever bought - probably ~15 years ago - a fuse-tester:

Honestly forgot it was a Snap On - lol.

Brand new Snap-On deep 1/4" metric socket set from eBay for half price. Hard to beat the eBay pricing on some of this stuff.

Yeah, I had them in my cart for months and they are worth the wait!

Nice! My biggest problem is finding space to store mine without destroying them. I'd like to make something like a saw till to store them in but that would be a LOT of work and probably take up way way too much room. Here's my modest collection I'm working on.

Some recent additions to my S-O orange hard handle obsession. 8,12 and 18 pry bars, 12” gasket scraper, angle ratchet screwdriver, 24” breaker bar and a soft grip ratchet that may get a new handle. Starting to get a fairly impressive collection of orange.

I miss the snap-on old style handle striking pry bars. I need to buy another small 8" pry bar, I left the one I had, under the hood of a honda

A couple items from Tekton arrived this morning. The ratchet is they're new long handle 3/8" drive flex head. It's just what I needed and will be the ratchet I look to for most jobs.

The 1/4" drive to 1/4" hex bit holder is for my spinner T-handle.

I don’t know what brand I have but I love using those things.

I have one also, a Craftsman. Certainly come in handy when working on my dual sport motorcycle. The bit holder in the picture will find its permanent home on mine.

Another Zoro order. They keep sending me coupons and I keep finding things I need.

Milton inflator gauge, Knipex wire strippers, and Proto SAE sockets.

Added some VDE to my NWS collection. Ordered them just before Amazon.de shutdown shipping to the USA.

I have that Wen belt sander. I've been saying I'll replace it with one of the add-on kits for a grinder from Trick Tools when it dies but it's been years now and it just won't quit.

Do you not like it or just thinking about upgrading?

I wanted to make some more room in the corner where they're both currently sitting so I thought I could consolidate by turning the grinding wheel side of my grinder into a belt sander with the trick tools kit. But, I can't really justify the expense as long as I have a fully functional belt sander and I feel like I would miss the abrasive wheel on the grinder.

I have no complaints about the sander itself. It looks identical to the Ryobi and probably others that are all made in the same factory.

Got a Lock N Lube attachment for my grease gun.

Hoping it will make things easier to lube the tractor. Kind of excited about it. I take pride in keeping up on maintaining my tractor. It’s nearly 25 years old, and still running like a champ.

Have a set of Wera Torx drivers on the way, should be here in a few days. Excited about them too. It will give me a bunch of new sizes, which will be nice. I only have a basic set now.

I sure love mine. Makes greasing drivelines so much easier when you don't have to hold the coupler onto the zerk fitting... I've bought two and would buy them again without hesitation.

This arrived yesterday. Certainly did not plan this, but when one of your good friends drives a truck....makes deals a lot sweeter!:beer::thumbup:

I got the same one, outside of puller wiper arms; its come in useful so many things where other pullers didn't fit.

Nice! I saw it on the the South Main Auto channel a while back, definitely could find some other uses for it.

Glad to hear it's still going! Hope to get many years of use out of it
