older Griots's version 1 or 2 of there random orbital buffer. The don't support this any more and my velcro is coming off the rubber pad. It uses 4 screws vs the newer style 6 screw.

Looked on amazon and I could not seem to find one but maybe my search list was not the correct info. I call Griot's and they said "Buy a new one and mail us back your old one for a buy back program" Said no thanks.

If you cant source, just find the next closest looking plate and redrill the holes.

Typical D-A pads have an arbor which is screwed to the pad. The arbor, which has a male thread, screws on to the tool. I think you want to replace the pad and arbor, not just the pad. A quick google of 6" D-A pad may shed some light on the situation.

Ordered that last night. Thank you for spotting that

why are you against sending in the old one for a credit?

Because why spend money twice? it works, they are going to give me about 50 dollars for it but I still have to pay them 180 for their new machine. That makes no sense, I could see if it was toast but it works just fine.
