Hi Folks, I need to hardwire the Liftmaster 8500W. In the instructions it says to remove the cover and wire tie the hardwire in with wire nuts, the problem I am having is I can't get the plastic cover off to access the area to make the connection. I took the visible screws out but the cover still feels solid. Does anyone know how to remove the cover please?

Thanks,

-Garry

Are you talking about the black plastic door? it opens and the wires slide in the compartment and connect to the terminals

Update;

I figured it out. The Logic Board has to be unplugged and removed, which exposes two additional hidden screws, then the cover comes right off. Sure would have been helpful if that would have been in the user manual!

Hopefully, if nothing else, this will help someone else facing this same thing!
