Tekton is a rebrander, with less than 100 employees. I doubt they have the money or desire to buy a factory to make stuff.

Tekton can have good boxes made or cheap boxes made. My tool boxes at work had a very rough life, pushed around on hand filled and packed pavement guaranteed to rack and corner split all but the oldest heavy guage ones. So when a made in Canada Craftsman survived, I was impressed. The only plant making toolboxes in Canada by then was SPG International . Fast forward a few years, when I retired I needed more storage, so bought another SPG International. It was real disappointment, luckily, it never moves in my workshop.

I submitted a quote for a custom Rousseau cabinet. I didn't give it a ton of though, but it seemed like a reasonable configuration for home use:

Yeah. I took it to mean I could either pick it up in VT or pay the ~$450 to ship it to me (in NY).
I was surprised how affordable it was, given that it’s totally customized.

They had boxes a couple years ago at Good guys. They're legit, stout boxes. If their sizes, metal gauge and ratings meet your needs, go for it.

I've been happy as a pig in $&it with my US General Boxes from HF. Good quality and I don't need to refinance the house or get a loan to purchase them.
