Made a landfill run to toss some junk. Then I rounded up all my scrap copper, brass, and aluminum for a scrap run tomorrow. Not so much for the money, but to clean out the shop. I'm sick of piles everywhere. Doesn't help that with all the covid ****, the recycle trailers stopped coming, so I have plastic, glass, and cans everywhere too.

Now to call my woodworker friend and have him pick up all my construction debris. He makes crafts out of old wood scraps, doors, etc.

I'm on a cleaning kick lately. Selling, tossing, scrapping, you name it, it's GOIN'!

I like your cleaning kick motivation!!! I need fight the clean up battle myself. I have a nice pile of scrap I need to load up for the recycler.

I added to the pile tonight. My new /replacement tail lights arrived for the utility trailer. I am excited to have lights that should work much more efficiently than the cheap versions I used over the last 20 years. They are takeoff units from a cab n chassis truck. They came form National Auto and Truck Salvage, Wapakoneta, Ohio. 😁

Not in the garage per se but right outside the door replaced this intermediate pipe on my SUV. Lucked out ordered it (and clamps) online Friday and FedEx dropped it off just before lunchtime so got it done right after that, even fixed my loose heatshield that would often rattle from vibration.

Left enough time to go get a inspection sticker on my Harley at the local garage too :D

The other rusted thru right alongside the weld and you can actually see surface rust forming on it already

As pretty much every day this week working on the screen doors for the attached garage. Yesterday got the final pieces cut and finished - today was dedicated to painting. Primer coat and one finish coat both sides. Second coat tomorrow - hoping to get everything hung and functional Saturday.

This was the final test fitting before painting.

Please excuse the mess - I'm only partially in control in that particular garage :(

I teleworked from the garage today. It was good. In between tasks and meetings I got some bike stuff cleaned up. It got warm after three, so I turned the sprinkler on the grass seed and rinsed my face and arms prior to finishing up the day.

Made a quick run to Rural King for oil, stopped and filled the new diesel fuel can on the way home, changed the oil in my wife's 2009 Ford focus.

Planned to fill the main chain case on the 843 Bobcat and check the in tank fuel filter, but ran out of time. Also going to review the operation of the new fuel can. I'm skeptical of the ez pour spout configuration.

Here's how to un-f*** your new diesel can...

https://ezpourspout.com/

There are not enough adjectives to convey my feelings about those EPA mandated spouts.

I bet it will annoy me on the first pour attempt. I'll give it at least one test before throwing it in the garbage...... Next thing you know we won't even be able to pump our own fuel. What is this Jersey? Thanks for the link 😁

Did some painting on some lawn furniture, then cut and formed a new hickory handle for the first hammer I ever owned. It is a 28 oz Stanley that I can't believe I swung framing houses 12 hours a day in my youth. It will be a wall hanger now.:)

Made my scrap run. Half-a-van full, $18, lol. Not worth it money-wise, like I said... But SO worth it, space-wise!

Finally making progress with my RapidAir Maxline installation. I still have 2 drops to complete, but the rest of the lines are pressurized and there appears to be no leakage. Already digging the air outlet by the rear man door as it is much easier then dragging the retractable line out from the compressor room (which is destined for the front of the garage). This should also dramatically reduce my moisture issues as a new water trap/regulator is now located ~30ft from from the compressor. But I also just noticed the right line needs to be shortened as it is a bit crooked :wtf:

Hopefully I will wrap up in the morning as we are about to head out for some twilight golf.

Nice, I had thought about doing something like this for the shop but then I installed a mini split...still would be nice for spring and fall.

Brake light is out on my truck and I got to replace the grille my brother cracked up out camping when he backed his quad into it. Also need to move some tie down points.

Then it’s take pics of Bronco stuff to hopefully give away.

Pulled the cab of this tractor for major surgery. It is leaking hydraulic oil quicker than you can top it up.

I was in and out of the garage all afternoon squashing the "honey do" list:

-Replaced all the basement lights with LED
-Replaced a basement light fixture that has been broken the whole time I have lived here
-Replaced an outdoor light fixture that has been crooked the whole time I have lived here
-Replaced a cupboard door in the kitchen and spot-painted some chipped trim
-Re-aligned the front door so we don't have to pull up on it to turn the deadbolt
-Replaced the back door knob/lockset

I have one chore left, replace a defective socket in the living room lamp. But I'm getting wore out, lol.

Installed the repaired wheelbarrow tire. Installed the repaired trailer tire.

Dragged (drug?) out the old crappy lawn mower i want to replace and filled it with fresh gas. Damn thing started on the first pull.....so i mowed the lawn.

Lent my stud finder to the neighbour for his TV installation. We swap tools and help each other so I'm OK with the loan.

Stood in line at hardware store so I could fill my propane tank for BBQ (surf & turf) tonight.

Argued with Mrs Outlander who wants me to hire a professional contractor to tear apart the cottage deck and rebuild it. I want to drag a couple of buddies over to solidify, redeck and replace railings. Commission check due in June will decide I think.

Had a 90 minute nap (not in the garage).....then the screwdrivers started......and now wine....and soom BBQ :)

Installation complete on the screen for the attached garage.
View media item 104711We live in a house built in the early Seventies so the washer and dryer are in the garage along with the water heater. The wife is happy that she can now blast the lights in the garage without the bugs. I'm happy that it's another place to hang when the skeeters get too bad outside.
The right door is the main entry/exit - a 36 inch door. To the left of that is 'one' door - but it is hinged. It's held in place by 4 barrel bolts - two in the header and two in the concrete. I can still put a car in that garage. It takes about 30 seconds to undo 4 barrel bolts.

Long time lurker, first time poster...

My "small garage in a big city" makeover project is basically done (will post pics after I get my 5 posts in). Today got my receiver and speakers working, filled the drink fridge and even managed to test the torque of the front axle nut on the Harley.

Picked up some affordable (Kobalt) deep 1/2 sockets at Lowes and organized them.
