The contractors are coming in the morning to start my garage and I need to get my ducks in a row to get power to it. (I'm doing it, not the contractor)
I am planning a 100 amp sub panel that will be 120' from the main supply in the house. The new line will run through the length of the house (in the basement) for 40' and the rest will be buried (80') in 2" PVC conduit. (unless someone convinces me there is a benefit to use 1 1/2").
I have been looking at panels at Lowes and specifically the Square D (either the QO or Homeline) with 24 spaces.

As of now, I have a 220 welder and compressor along with the usual suspects for saws and wood working tools.
Can someone give me an idea of what I will need for wire to get from my box to the garage, and are the panels I've been looking at suitable?
