There wasn’t much left, they removed some stuff the day that I went to pick it up, might be a few things of value, I will check into it before destroying anything. I am convinced I need to hit the racks and benches they used and probably work to get the floor all one height, it is currently raised up in a few places. It looks like it will be a neat setup for sure.













Also got to use the ugly mower up at the Hill, so far it has cost me $400 to mow the lawn, next time it will only be $200.

My cousin and I went to the island to setup the templates for drilling the 4” holes in the ledge. Took a little longer than expected, but it looks like it will work well.











And, first thing this morning, I fell on the ramp going down to the beach, I was trying to move some seaweed while walking down the ramp and instead, both feet came out from under me and I landed on my wrist, forearm, elbow, then my back. It hurts more now.

I am curious, how much hassle is involved in getting the permits to build that bridge.

And dang it man, don't fall down, it hurts.

My Dad hired a specialist for the dock permit, pretty sure it was an expensive ordeal.

They are server style racks, will have to see if anyone is interested. The slipping was fine, it was the landing that sucked.

Tomorrow I hope to finally get my custom magnetic towing lights finished, I am installing some water tight connectors and making extensions and adapters so they will be more versatile. I think I have had to rewire the end a dozen times so they would work in the current situation, this should solve that issue, then they can go in a box so all the parts are ready to go when I need them.

I took ten minutes this morning to swap the incandescent lights over to LED, that will make the lights so much better. The funny part is that I have multiple sets, but I can’t find them, may have to go on the hunt over at the SG. I would like to have them all setup and ready to go, most likely keep a set in each tow vehicle, then have one spare at the shop. You never know when you will need them.

As for the hurt, it hurts, I am in the office for a bit, after lunch I will try and get the lights wired up. Once I have one set configured it should be easier to deal with the next ones, **** part is that the connectors are solder only and they are a pain to hold and solder at the same time, I need to dig out my helping hand thingy that I bought a few years ago, it worked very well, but I only used it once, this time it will pay for itself.

The AC units look like the Bard brand package units that are used on a lot of mobile offices and such. And the can be work on by a typical Ac tech.

How long before you bring home a locomotive or something? Never know what we’ll see here.

I didn’t have a mower, the mower cost me $400, each time I mow, that cost gets cheaper on a per mow basis.

I don't think that is the one. It says he paid $100 for that. I may be bad at math, but I don't think that $400 is half of $100. Although there is always common core...

The picture is the $100 one. I haven't taken a picture of the $400, it isn't really photogenic (read fugly), it is however functional. I am pretty sure it is an L120, the hood is plastic instead of fiberglass. It mowed well, so I figure it was worth the cash.

First time I have ever mowed the lawn, last year they used something else, might have been the banged up 318 or it could have been my Dad’s huge zero turn.

My wrist is still sore and my forearm/elbow area is bruised, but it doesn’t feel too bad.

All the **** going on has made me not sleep very well. Today is the closing on the SG, once that is done, I will feel a lot better.

I got the F-550 to leak some coolant, but it was coming out the cap of the overflow tank. I am going to do a bit of research, most likely replace the tank and cap.

We think it may be better to wait for the town to condemn the place, maybe even give that a nudge. Regardless, she can’t sell it to anyone except an abutter and we are the only ones that are interested.

How is the sale restricted to only an abutter ?
Are there easements from the adjoining properties that isolate the property from access ( ie : is the property landlocked ? Not all easements are transferable. It depends on how they were originally written. ) ?

Jake, the rundown house is part of a 10 or so acre parcel that has a monopole on it. The house has no frontage on any road, so the only way it could be sold to anyone except an abutter is if the entire parcel is sold. The monopole is one of the major sources of income to the Lady and she is too cheap to hire a lawyer to break the lease out so the land could be sold without losing the lease. If she does a development, then the house can pull frontage off the new road, but that will cost her $100k or more and it is clear that she won’t do that either. I may offer her a low price but include my services to get the subdivision approved for her as partial payment.

Ah, ok. For some reason I thought the house had a driveway at the end of your street. But if it’s really an access lane for the monopole that happens to go past the house, I can see how splitting the property could get complicated.

As I read this, I couldn't comprehend that you didn't already have a pressure washer. Come on, all that equipment and trucks to wash?

Then I zeroed in on this statement: "nice addition to the fleet". Like a pressure washer so big it is mounted on a truck? It is the truck?!?!?!

It is a bigger unit for sure, it is powered by a gas engine, my other one is electric and has not been operational for a few years. I have the parts to fix it, either way the new one was a smoking deal. I am picking it up tomorrow and will post pictures of it, might not get to use it until Monday though.

I also added a couple new tools to the Milwaukee lineup.




I got the basic portion of the lights wired up, will have to make a couple more adapters and then I need to make up some extension cables for both the front to back and side to side lines. Best upgrade was the LED lights, they are so much better looking now.

It is only a 9”, but it should still be useful. I am more excited about the 8” metal saw, I would have used that for the frame rails on Perk last week.

Is the metal saw the one that looks like a chain saw but with a circular blade? the one in the back?

That's the one that looks cool and that I call a "buzz saw". My terminology could be wrong, I'm not a tool guy.
