Hey guys,

I found this site when I first started researching tool boxes. A lot of good information here, and I have learned a lot just by lurking. I figured this would be a good first post. I picked this up off of craigslist. This is my first Snap On box. I was not planning on getting this much tool box, but I just couldn't resist the chrome drawers!

That chrome sure is pretty but it is a pain to keep clean. Here is my red KRL1022 chrome edition with a stainless steel top. You have a fairly rare box there. Keep it in good condition.

Well I guess in order to put myself into the "you ****" category I will post the price. After all it was other people posting what they paid for their stuff that helped me decide what I could expect to pay. I paid $1800 cash for it today! Be easy on me. I have been lurking here for a while so you guys helped me make the right decision!!

All the drawers are silky smooth. It does have the extra fold up shelf on the other side, and a few of the drop in shelves in the drawers.

I have the regular version of that box..... only difference i see is that you have a 4" deep drawer in the smaller bank, where i have 2 2" drawers. I'm thinking the single drawer would have worked better for me. Anyone know if this was an option on these boxes? I know Snap on said $200 for the single drawer, so i would rather do some trading if possible... just not sure where to look for the trade. When do we get to see pics of it full?

I'll start] transplanting my tools into it today, Will it be full? I'd doubt it, but I will sure try. This is such an upgrade from my non ball bearing 26 inch wide craftsman setup I bought long ago in high school. Now that I have my own place to work in, I got tired of having a lot of tools like my cordless drill just sitting out on my work bench. Thanks for the compliments (and the you ***** :)!)

Thanks guys. I got into running a water line to my new building so I didn't get to put any tools in yet. Maybe tomorrow.

Alright guys, I got some tools in it today. I'm still not sure if I am set on how everything is organized. I have never had to worry about loading a tool box this big. Any Suggestions?\

It will constantly be evolving as you get more tools, so i wouldn't worry about it too much right now. I have been meaning to get a couple pics of mine, so i will try and get them tomorrow to show off my collection, i mean give you some ideas.

Really nice box. I've never seen the chrome editions before. I like those a lot

Just my opinion but I think I would put all the wrenches in the same drawer.
