Crappy charger and they say the batts are 4.0 non H.P. according to link.

I don't think there's a good hd.com list yet, maybe tomorrow when it's officially launched they'll have it there. some stuff is live though

in years past the free tool list was tweaked over the course of the promo period, it's worth watching to see what's added. of the current stuff, my favorites are:

trim router, base station dremel, stapler, and the P727 folding workbench light (I have a bunch of milwaukee and ryobi lights and of all of them this is my ride or die light)

Already sold out of the power metal shear...maybe another grinder. Maybe a pass. I did just pick up the grease gun with a battery and charger for $139. Glad it didn't show up as a $99 bogo a week later.

The Home Depot Fathers Day advertisement was included with my morning paper today, fortunately for me none of the ads triggered the "gotta get this" alarm; but fortunately I have a nice collection of things that I felt I needed in years past.

The event lasts a couple of months. So just keep checking back and it'll be back in stock at some point.

Yes! Sometimes things change by the hour! Something will be available for shipping, and then it's gone, and then back again.

I actually signed up for an email reminder on the radio set which is out of my comfort zone. I don't have any ryobi now but like the bang for the buck.

I will add the Cordless Hand Vacuum is useless.

Edit: Damn, I don't see the 3/8" impact in that deal.

a $30 Amazon bluetooth speaker will sound better than the Ryobi unit (I have one)

my .02

Have a link for one? I have many bluetooth speakers, name brand and no name, plus the Ryobi. Ryobi is decent for what it is AND the fact it uses the ryobi batteries which I have a ton of is a huge plus vs most typical "$30" amazon speaker which typically has a non replaceable battery that turns into junk after 6 months. I'm going on 3 years of using the Ryobi and it has served it's purpose and continues to work for a shop radio/yard work etc. I've tossed countless $30 bluetooth speakers with few every working past the year mark.

I was really hoping the new power scrubber would be available with this. That is the only Ryobi tool I don't have that I would like to have and alas, at least so far, it is not part of it.

I took advantage of the same deal about 2 years ago....I already had a **** load of Ryobi stuff....including 4 batteries.

Those 4 Ahr batteries work great in their mower.

I ended up getting the leaf blower. It's not as powerful as my corded one....but it's perfect in the garage and so much easier to use....

I'll keep and eye on the sale and see what crops up that I can use....I wonder if the impact is on the list?

The little Ryobi bluetooth radio is my most used tool. I had one that lasted a couple of years, and I'm on my second right now. It's not the best, but it's handy. It's a little sensitive with some radio stations.

HD has them in stock, at least online. I doubt we'll see them as part of the Ryobi days deals though since they're brand new.

You never know...the bandsaw was brand new during Ryobi Days last fall, and it was included in the sale. I paid about $55 for the bandsaw.

Last weekend I tried to order online the supercharger as the free tool with the 4ah battery deal. Spent 90 minutes on the phone with HD customer service and they couldn't make it happen. It kept coming $99 plus $79.

Went to the store and it rang up $99 for both. So if you run into problems online you might just try at the store.

I keep looking at the 18v power cleaner but I already have a gas pressure washer and an electric pressure washer. The thing just looks so handy for spot cleaning of little stuff like mud off the vehicles, the patio tables and chairs, etc.

Yes, if you mean the Lithium+ batteries, in theory...

The regular Lithium batteries are black and the Lithium+ batteries are gray (at least recently). I have one of each in the 4.0 Ah format.

There are 3 different kinds of batteries. The regular Lithium, then the Lithium+, and then the Lithium+HP. The Lithium+ models which I think there are only a couple of are pretty much the same as the regular Lithium batteries, though at the time of their introduction may have been higher capacity then the regular Lithium batteries. They also have a built in battery level gauge. The Lithium+HP batteries have the same looks and battery gauge as the Lithium+ batteries, but they also have 2 extra contacts at the bottom of the stem. They match up with the extra contacts on the brushless tools and allow them to draw more power from the battery.

I think all of the larger batteries have gauges now because the Lithium and Lithium+ batteries I own both have them. The Lithium+ and Lithium+ HP batteries both have gray bands around the bases but the Lithium+ HP batteries also have a black stem vs. the green. They keep changing things so it's hard for me to keep up.

How's the tire inflator. Is it worth it for airing up tires once a month on average?

I say hell yeah, it's worth it! I love my cordless inflator. I have the little one with the dial gauge on it, and then I upgraded to the digital inflator/deflator.

I have this one, but with the dial gauge:

This is the one I upgraded to:

Thanks. Sometimes I'm too lazy to put air while I'm at the gas station. Seems like I'm always in a hurry. Then I'm low for a few days till i get annoyed by it. I'll probably pick this up. Thanks

Milwaukee M12 and Dewalt 20V Lithium Ion cordless tire inflators are the best according to this video comparison:

This video ranks the Ryobi dual function last also, with the Dewalt and Milwaukee beating it in build quality and time to inflate:

But considering the price point, I think the Ryobi is competitive. If you are already on the Ryobi platform, I think it is a no-brainer purchase. I don't care about saving 2 minutes per tire every 6 months if I have to pay 2-3x the price for the unit.

That video compares the older model, not the current Ryobi. Though I think they are about the same performance based on other reviews. For the price, the Ryobi works great and I've put it through a rough 6 months with no issues.

Techie,

I ended up ordering one. It just looks so damn convenient for small cleaning tasks.

Do either of you (or anyone else on the thread for that matter) have thoughts on whether this is a good unit? I also have gas and electric, but the size of this really intrigues me, and I am tempted to get one. Be great to take on the dock for cleaning the boat.

Thanks, Bruce
