I have a 28x46 shop that had the ground wire for the electrical panel bonded to the foundation rebar and rod prior to pouring remainder of the stem wall foundation. Since then I have decided to move the location for the proposed panel to another location within 15 feet of the original stud bay were the ground wire is located.
My question is can I splice the ground wire with split bolts in the wall and run it to the new panel location or do I need to install 2 new rods outside the building. Id rather not put a hole in the exterior wall for this if I can use the original ground wire.
Thanks.
