I have the Husky 3200 lumens LED multidirectional worklight it also comes with a stand. I use it when I detail my car and for other projects. I love it and it works well.

6500K is a very cool white.
For your big shop, you might want one that is on a stand.
But at that price you could get two.

I'd recommend the Ryobi hybrid... use with either A/C or battery. Kind of pricey but super convenient. Bonus if you already have the Ryobi tools and batteries:

(edit: I can't post links as a newbie, but this may help)

At Home Depot - RYOBI-18-Volt-ONE-Hybrid-20-Watt-LED-Work-Light-Tool-Only-P721/304049794

or

At Home Depot - RYOBI-18-Volt-ONE-Hybrid-LED-Color-Range-Work-Light-Tool-Only-P795/304129279

You can get the first one with the current battery/tool promotion for $100.

Also available third party for less (but may not have warranty?):

At ryobidealfinders - products/copy-of-18-volt-one-hybrid-20-watt-led-work-light-tool-only

In THIS THREAD of a few months back i posted some from Sam's Club that I think are the best deal out there, even after the sale ended.
The lamp linked on amazon above I would not buy mainly because of its build. It uses as many do, a strap of 28ga flat steel to form a cradle for the lamp and that strap is flimsy, will bend every time you use the silly thing, leading to aggravation, flaked powder coat, rust, quickly looking like ****. but that's just my opinion. i would avoid any that have that bracket.

Wow... It's an "Official Licensed product"

Paying that $, I'd be seeing spots for hours without even looking at it.

Marc

Not sure if that was directed at me or not, but I am positive my FIL didn't pay the current Amazon price for it. He probably got it from one of those SlickDeals.com or similar sites for thirty bucks or less, I'd guess. I posted that as a data point, to say that a light with those specs is really, really bright in my opinion.

I am still getting by with a 13 Watt fluorescent on a cord, still does the job for me.
My most frequently used light is one of those, but the newer ones with two of the same U-shaped bulbs are pretty sweet! Unfortunately, the two-bulb light just won't fit into all of the places I need it to go, so the single-bulb light is my go-to.

I bought a similar light those at Menards, their house brand. I forget which one but I just used it. I think they are all about the same.

Yes please update when you have used them for a few days. I will be very glad when everything is LED. Our new house has all built in lights LED and it really has helped lower the electric bill compared to our previous house. But I try to find a replacement light bulb and comparing watts, lumens etc is a pain. I can look at two bulbs that have the LED watts and the comparable incandescent watts listed on the label and the ratios are different between brands. Different enough I can do the math in my head. So which is correct? WHo knows?

Ignore comparable incandescent watt numbers.
Light output is measured in Lumens.
Power consumption is watts.
Different bulbs have different efficiencies. Measured in lumens per watt if you want to do the math.
One more consideration is color temperature. Like 2700 K. is yellowish warm color close to what old incandescent bulbs give you.
6000 K. Is extremely white light which for many is uncomfortable.
Personally I like 4000K for work lights. But it doesn’t make much difference 4000 or 5000.

I picked up some Craftsman LED worklights from Lowes when they had them on sale. I think they were the 2500 lumen models for $25 a piece. For that price I could buy two for the price of one bigger light. They work well.

I think possibly - Many of us look at these and think "Great - a substitute for my old hot as hell easy to break bulb not cheap bulb new way to go !!"

And may not notice right away that they can be very different in light output...

20 w to around 70w anyway...

So gotta look closer when choosing.

Marc

I originally hurriedly ordered these -
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07V5JLRXS/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Then cancelled, and ordered these -
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K4917LN/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Now I see the adjusting knobs may be setup better on the first one... YARRRRRRRRRRRR whatever.

And who the hell knows how true these chinese ratings are... rolls of dice.

This is a good example of an item that would be better to choose in person than from a photo

I have two double 500 watt halogen work lights on tripods, a 1000 watt halogen work light with a stand like the OP's, and a homemade 100 watt halogen on a mini tripod. I used to run them all constantly. Nowadays those lights just sit and I've been tossing a HF LED shoplight

into a corner, or on the floor, and getting a good result.
