Those would be useful on Asian import cars and Chinese electronics.

These things work on ANY connectors that require you to squeeze one or both sides of a connector, to release it. It’s like being able to use your vice grips on connectors, to release them and also to pull them out - or re-insert them too.

Keep checking Amazon as the price seems to change a lot. I paid $45 for mine.

Yes they are magnetic, I would still use a locking extension with them however. It's grippy, but not too much. The thin wall 14mm for euro is still wider than my locking extensions. The whole set was $30. Rail is pretty decent quality. It was time to retire a few of my originals, as it gets tiring spraying whatever is handy around in the socket for a clean install. I had a comeback years ago, Mazda mpv 3.0 dohc, intermittent misfire, no code, culprit spark plugs socket insert on one of the back side under the intake cylinders. Snapon was 59 for the 5/8, it's backordered.

KTC is the other brand that comes with interchangeable tips. There other brands too with even longer fingers.

The Merry had screws like the KTC to remove the fingers, just the Merry does come with extras.

I bought both the Merry & KTC, ended up selling the Merry cause I liked the KTC better.

Today’s buy from my MAC dealer:


Couldn’t stand the weight of my Milwaukee fuel 3/8” ratchet, so I traded it in toward a bundle they have in the current flyer. The 3/8” ratchet kit (BRS038-D2), came with the ratchet, two 2.0Ah batteries, the MCB112 charger, a pretty nice bag, and the 20pc set of Expert metric & SAE impact sockets (E041656). I’ll probably sell the impact sockets since I already have all the impact sockets I need... So far I’m loving this ratchet - it’s longer than the Milwaukee yet lighter, and most of the weight is in the base of the ratchet, which makes a huge difference. I can hear my forearms thanking me for this decision.

Also picked up the 12V screwdriver (MCF601). I’ve got the DeWalt version of this and I use it so much I wanted the MAC version too.

Last piece is the 2 piece “pocket pry bar” set, SDP2. These little guys are incredibly useful, used them already a bunch today.

I tossed an assortment of screwdrivers in a bag so I could let a coworker handle some since he'd asked me earlier about good screwdriver sets. I think he's gonna grab a set of the Pittsburgh Pros for now but I realized I didn't have any Wiha so I ordered a #1 then tossed in a $6 Komelon tape since I liked the last one a lot. It doesn't have markings on the back of the blade but for $6 it's pretty stout and the speedmarks are handy to boot.

Nice set! I've been hoping they upgrade to a new/brushless lighter model, as I'd like to try the ratchets but I'm not going to leave DeWalt/Mac.

I purchased it from Amazon Japan. Was just before the outbreak, ordered early Dec 2019. I paid $53.83 + $8.68 for shipping. It only took 3 days to arrive (DHL) but wasn't shipped until 2-3 days after I placed the order.

I love my Mac ratchet! I’ve only got one 2 AH battery but it really last a long time on a single charge.

The pocket pry bar set looks pretty handy!

My guy’s truck was light too, I think everyone is having issues with shipping. My Snap-On rep still hasn’t received an order he placed two weeks ago for me, so it isn’t just Mac.

I've been wanting a higher quality snap ring plier. Took a few months of waiting but finally scored this for around $230. Its the revised quick change style with a button instead of a thumb screw.

I had 2 sets of the Craftsman (Kastar/Lang) versions that I sold off that basically paid for it. Only good thing that has come out of all the Craftsman drama is the pre-Stanley USA made stuff has really gained value.

I noticed the Snapon box and was pretty sure that Craftsman wrench was USA made. They were located about 10 minutes from me and said FREE so I messaged and said I can come pick up right now. They messaged back and gave me an address and said the tools would be on the porch.

When I got there, there were actually 3 boxes. I couldn't load them up fast enough! Apparently they were the guys wife's ex-husbands. I don't know if he passed away or what...
