M12 grease gun storage?

I got the Milwaukee M12 grease gun recently and was going to start using it. My old manual gun tends to leak when the grease starts breaking down, so I keep it in a large ziplock bag. Are you guys storing the Milwaukee guns in their original cases? Any issues with leaking?

I have been using Lucas Red N Tacky #2, and the grease guns are stored in a non-climate controlled garage.

I have not had any issues with mine leaking, it does not sit long with a full tube in it though since I use it at work. It goes in the one drawer with my other battery tools. If it was having issues a plastic tray or something like that would work. Mine didnt come with a case.

I change tubes daily on my M18, which is my personal tool but the shop grease guns lay in a cabinet with a oil absorbent pad underneath them. I haven't had much leakage using certified labs moly grease and I haven't changed the pads in almost a year and a half.

I haven't seen any leakage either not like my manual gun. Plus it stands up well and is not lying on its side. I do put a small plastic bag around the tip when I travel with it...just in case.

What really kills me the really nice soft side zippered case the kits comes in Already have grease on it That's the one item for me would have appreciated a hard plastic box though I have a stack of them too that just sit empty because the tools never go back in them anyhow.

I dont get why m12 has a bag and not a hard case. I chose to get the tool only and am now looking at a way to carry it? Any suggestions? My old lever bobcat one is in a walgreens plastic reusable bag, but I would like to keep this one nice looking and protected if possible. Will the soft case be able to keep a spare tube of grease in it? How much different is the m18 vs m12 grease gun, would the 12 fit in the 18?

You can easily fit 2 tubes of grease in the M12 soft side case...here's a photo.

Looking at the picture in this link, with the blow molded M18 hard case it be impossible.

Would the M12 unit fit in the M18 case? Can't say with any certainty... but maybe, as the design is similar and the case sculpted for a larger battery.

The M18 unit has a few features that the M12 doesn't provide like the dial pulse counter you can set to limit the number of grease shots you get one the trigger depressed. Useful but not actually necessary for most people.. The hose is 1 ft longer too, but you can also buy that for like $35 to add to the M12.

The M12 8000 PSI range falls right in middle of the 2 ranges the M18 offers 10,000/6000 so again perfectly adequate. I personally have not found a need for more pressure with under carriage joints or even with my tractor loader pins. Plus the most recent $99 deals with free battery on the M12 grease gun bare tool were just awesome

Where can I get the soft case?

I use the lock n lube caps. Previously used a 8 oz water bottle Which worked okay for the hoses but the **** end always seemed to seep. Have a gun for Moly and one for lithium very pleased with them.

What where has there been a grease gun for 100 with a battery!!!!!!!!!!! I have not seen that deal anywhere!
