I vote for buying a bigger used box. There's another thread where a guy bought a KRL661 in decent shape for just $40 more than what it costs for that tiny KRA2007....

Red.

Black will show every little smudge, fingerprint, scratch, blemish, etc.

Royal Blue is a nice alternative from boring old red.

I would pick black because my current tool box is black, and I like the look of the same color boxes.... That being said, I wish that my current box was Red, but I saved about $1500 by going black....

Or you can get a Kennedy 3900MP(Yellow) 3901MP(Blue) for the about same price.

RED! The few times I have seen a middle, top or side box for sale they were always red (once black), plus in the car business it's the best seller (we call it resale red), bet it applies to tool boxes as well.

Here's a pic of my red one:

I just traded in my black box.It needed to be wiped down everyday because every bit of dust in the shop would stick to and show up like a sore thumb.Ask somebody with a black car how easy it is to keep clean, same thing.10 minutes after you clean it it's dusty again.

Isn't the Blue Point one imported from China?I don't see where he says there's a blue point for sale used near him?:headscrat

There's is/was a 30" Blue Point from Canada that is quite similar (or the same as) to the KRA boxes, I've seen several of them gotten through the student discount program, Harry Epstein had the same boxes branded Williams.

A KRA 2007 (7)drawer which looked brand new went up on local Craigs List here a few days ago for $100. I missed it by 30 minutes. Today it`s back on CL by new owner for $350. The free enterprise system at work

I would say black if not blue. I think red is too common for tool boxes.
Here's a pic of mine which is similar in black.

I vote red, but at the same token I would scout CL for a used box like my KR655 type of box. They go for a good price nowadays and are great boxes! Mine is going on 15 + years strong!
