hanging a big heavy sliding door

I have a 15x15 sliding door i need to hang which is about 220kg weight.

Its a metal framed door clad with corrugated sheeting for a shed.

Was wondering how is this usually done in USA

In europe we usually use this type of tracking and rollers https://steel.ie/portfolio-items/f200-farm-track/?portfolioCats=13

However this tracking is only 2.5mm thick and as I am near the sea, the salty air rots everything which based on past experience gives a lifespan of approx 10years.....

A person could use a 3" I-beam (S3) and trolleys which fit that. Heavy enough for your weight and smooth rolling, its some more fabrication to get it working.

And a larger area to "flash" but if you are handy at bending trim coil or stainless sheetmetal, then there's a possibility.

The trolleys with "red seal" wheels have a labyrinth seal and can be greased. The open bearing ones would need cosmolime, fluid film or the equivalent to stay smooth running.

In Jervis B Webb, there's also a Unibilt conveyor system, 250# trolleys with plastic wheels and a heavy channel.

This might be hard to source across the pond but if there's a competitor, this is just industrial assembly line components, if there's still someone making that kind of stuff. Light duty "workstation" monorails and hoists are other components which would be closely related.

I have some time in life spent building and repairing things in automotive assembly lines and the above is a result of that experience.

I was unable to open your first link as it had a security warning attached to it. Without knowing your building design, door layout, etc., is it possible to make your one 500 pound door into two 250 pound doors and slide them in opposite directions or slide one behind the other? It may open up other options for hanging systems. Whatever you choose, that is a big sail, be sure to have a plan to secure the bottoms of the door well as it will surely want to blow in the wind.

I used what they call a round rail track from Tractor Supply. It's rated at 600 lbs. (272 Kg). I doubt their products are available on the other side of the pond, but it would give an idea what to use. I have two doors, 6' wide by 12' high. I have no idea what they weigh, but I couldn't even drag them across the floor. I pulled them into place with my truck, then lifted them up using a cheap electric winch. They roll smoothly and have held up for 9 years so far.
