Hey guys, I have yet to buy any impact universal swivels yet. Beings that the SK ones are fairly cheap and SK generally makes good tools, do you guys think they are good enough to be used daily mechanics use? Any one have them or any experience? Thanks.

THEY ARE GREAT. We got a 13 piece swivel set for out half inch impact not to long ago. There great old and new. I say that because we have alot of sk swivel impact sockets that are older but do not make a complete set from loosing a few here and there. Some were bought individualy to. I would recomend SK swivel sockets for everyday use.

WRONG!

Snap-on makes thier own sockets. My biggest concern with SK would be the ability to get them warrantied.

maybe.....maybe not. it seems odd that snap on changed thier style of impact swivels at the same time that S*K started having public financial problems. and to tonydanzah........that comment that is attributed to me was posted by another member (i may have qouted him).

They're ok. I have snapped a few pins over the years. The collars seem to vibrate loose, and the collars get banged up rubbing against stuff as they rotate. There also seems to be differences in broached depth and wall thickness between lots. I personally prefer the pinless design from Danaher (Matco, Armstrong, or Craftsman) but, those are far from cheap. Consider Sunex and Grey Pneumatic as lower cost but, durable alternatives too.

My dad's are 30 years old and they have not been warrantied yet. They still work great. Mine are about 5 years old, they are in great shape, but I don't use mine everyday.

SK=Junk... Get the Snappy ones, still have the broken SK 3/8 & 1/2 impacts waiting for warranty.

Sk is far from junk. But everyone has opinions. I guess. Anyway, we have some sk impact swivels at school, and they take the abuse of hundreds of students miss treating them.
