Snap On TQFR250C Torque Wrench; Looking for its proper case. Any help?

Hey guys !

Long over-due need to get a case for my old TQFR250C Torque Wrench. Its old, I know. But still works amazingly well and reads accurately after cal.

Would the : Snap on "PBTQ3" case work? It states for "Use for TQFR250E and TQR250E torque wrenches"

So I inquired with SO, And ordered the PB5 as recommended.

I am guessing that they use the same case for a few different models that differ in overall handle length. The rest of the case looks like it fits great!

^Thanks for the chuckle lol. Yeah, it’s not a huge deal. Just kinda OCD, and will bother me.

Yeah, guess was just expecting a perfect fit.


I am wondering now if the PBTQ3 case is the exact one. And not the PB5 ...

How long is the TQFR250C ?

The catalog I have says the PB5 case is for the TQFR250A.

The TQFR250A is 22 and 1/8 inches long.

Well that's the problem right there. I was assuming that the TQFR250A and TQFR250C were the same length and took the same size case. The TQFR250C is not even in the catalog I looked at. It's probably in a newer catalog.

It’s an older model Torque Wrench - assume the catalogs your looking at are relatively recent?

I'll give you a free case if your in the Vancouver BC area.

Be careful of that wrench.

I have an older version and the handle has a crack in it near the flex head pin.
Snap On says its too old to fix and no warranty.
Its still usable, maybe up to 150 ft lbs.

Although its quick to set, it really needs a longer handle to get to 250 ft lbs.

I'll never buy another model like that.

I have had this TQFR250C for years. Sent to Snap On in 2017 for re-calibration and overall tune up - it's flawless!

It serves as my heavy duty Torque in automotive use. Wheel bolts - large suspension bolts - etc. Cant say I've used it past 150ftlb.
