I may have missed it, but what recessed lights did you end up going with in the house? Are you happy with their dimming abilities, and what dimmers did you use?
I haven't posted on your thread before but I'm wondering where the driveway goes after it passes the house. It seems to head off down the hill.
when does the year round integrated christmas (not race) lights and self installing decorations update come?
The stuff you are doing is just insane. If only our govts would have as much forethought into our country as you do into your home, we would be set.
Well done sir.
I will look for you on the air. A bit of a haul from FL, but 160m has been open that way the last few nights, and should be getting better.

Somebody is hoarding wheels and tires.
Very nice build!

I can picture your driveway lights lighting up as you drive up the driveway.
Your house is what dreams are made of. Thank you for sharing with us.
I like the deck design
but don't understand the weather station location - it needs to be in free space, away from any building
Question concerning the driveway gate. Will the gate be able to swing with a few inches of ice on the pavement? See page 35, post 687 for reference.

Have you had an opportunity yet to really test out the Infratech heaters yet? I'd like to get your thoughts on their performance because we are also looking to incorporate heaters into our covered patio.
If anyone is trying to get internet to a detached shop this is a great way to do it. Those radios are about $80 each.
Since I still need to pull fiber to the gate I setup a wireless link from the house to the gate. It is about 1000ft, but blocked by forest.
The view from the house to the gate location.. the red circle is where the gate radio is, but 1000ft through those trees.

The ubiquity radio mounted on the house.

And the gate side

Pretty good bandwidth (500mbit) for going through trees.

Maybe this is what I need to link out of the neighborhood to the end of some fiber. I think all we have access to is corroded steel cable, I'm lucky to get 20mb at the house.
Of course that would require a good size tower to get line of sight, with maybe some HF/VHF/UHF antennas above.
Love the graphs and info, I feel that is epic info to know wish they had some info like that for the AP.
1000 feet into the forest is impressive and show how good ubnt is. I have a few small pieces from them AP, switch, router impressed.
I love the details you have shown us.

This thread continues to impress - currently running on Orbi with wired backhaul, but seeing the gold standard for a private home definitely redefines the goal for the next house! Also, looking great aesthetically, shop has come together nicely, and really appreciate the gun safe/reloading/JDM cars/ham radio/etc.
I Use the Ubuquiti Unifi system for the Mesh-Wifi in our place and i absolutely love it. the price is great too..
I sorta had the same problem at my house with internet reaching the front gate. I put a ring camera on the outside. After installing it i figured out that I didnt have enough wifi to get video. My gate from my house is only 175ft. I just added a lil wifi extender made by net gear.
I'm not a fan o american cars (or australian for that matter), I'm more of a German/JDM fan boi. But I have always loved the GTO! It's just so pretty, and has beautiful lines.
Thanx for sharing this one with us!
You don't have any additional Racelogic units stockpiled by any chance do you? I have been searching high and low for one to implement into my Hayabusa-powered hillclimb monster but no such luck.

Post 767, like the "command center".
Jeff what surveillance camera and software did you end up using? I was also wondering why you picked HTD system for your whole house audio. If your build was much smaller would you have used the same system?

AND, drooling over the amount of tires you have. I'm at about half of that...
GTO build is cool.
How much boost can you / do you run with the 10.9:1 compression?
