I would think manual modeling tools, more likely working on clay than wood.

I collect Medical Instruments (made in USA)... Use them all the time... in projects, on victims, etc.

Me too! So many good uses for them. I can never pass up a dental pick or hemostats or interesting scissors.

BUT, some tools give off a bad vibe and I won't even touch them. Creepy feeling.

Bone saws do this. Interestingly enough, I have a nice bone chisel that doesn't freak me out.

Needle drivers are SOOOO much better than hemostats. Iris scissors sit on my sewing machine... I have several tooth extractors/lifters that are GREAT for prying up parts etc.

Dental picks... YES... Also good for piercing ears... uhm... yea.

I dont' have a bone saw... ooooo

I have a set of retractors.. they work great as back scratchers when you fabricate an extension.

I keep a set of Mathieu needle holders on my sewing machine (I dislike thumb rings). I haven't used a thimble again since discovering how handy they are. The carbide jaws are a little harsh on steel needles, but needles are cheap.

I have iris scissors on my sewing machine too, but I use my old fashioned Wiss snips more (the spring makes it faster, and I don't own the micro iris spring loaded version).

I have a bone saw!

ick.

I think it was after the earth quake in Haiti that it was discovered that doctors no longer knew how to amputate limbs without using an electric powered saw. The emergency medical tool kits didn't have hand saws either.

Bummer of a lost skill.

I aim to please. I have all kinds of interesting links ready and waiting for key words used within various conversations online. You should see the stuff I know NOT TO POST links to.

It did amuse me that they have gift certificates...

I bet grandpa Pines is a big hit with the grand kids.

Well, i'm not that freaked out, I actually have a little collection of medical/prosthetics.

I have an artificial leg, polio brace, brain drill, bone saw, dental drill, dentures, and now pimple poppers...

I think originally he wanted them as *** slaves, I think he ate them to get rid of the evidence.:scared:

It get's harder and harder to keep all the serial killer details straight.

FWIW, that phrase "*** slaves" is an open invitation to more interesting and possibly educational content from Mr. Pines.:lol_hitti

I knew an old guy, long dead now who had a large collection of medical instruments including a couple bone saws, he had made that stuff for his whole working life and all his collection had come out of the scrap pile, I did buy some dental picks off him, which come in useful from time to time.
