Anybody with an ounce of ability can install one. You're not looking for skill here. What you should be looking for is somebody that cares enough to do something properly. So I would primarily look at using a guy who owns the company and does the work. A sole proprietor. I would be concerned handing it over to an employee who ultimately has no responsibility.

I used these guys for my Rotary lift. Don't know if they do the BendPak lifts, but they were competent when they did mine. Glad I had them do it, as the lift columns were very heavy- I could just see myself dropping one on the new floor...

Thanks for the suggestions, but these installers were supplied by Bend Pak as their "Manufacturer approved installers" and I'm trying to stick with this list so that if there are any issues with the lift Bend Pak wont blame my installer.

I did a web search on each and a couple are 2 man operations and the rest are larger companies. Like firebird said the best situation is to have the owner involved in the install, and I'm going to call each and ask how they go about installing the lift.

I like smaller companies but want to make sure they will be around later to service the lift or perform warranty repairs.

Well I have way more than an ounce of ability and could have done it, but Automotive Lift Service installed mine because they received the lift and installed in one day. It was just so easy having them handle it.

Do you have a number for them or a web site ? Either I am searching wrong or they dont have one ? I have a friend over your way that is getting ready to get a lift and is also looking for someone.

I am in the same boat now, I have been ordered by my wife to get a 4 post lift installed due to the driveway having too many cars parked on it

I'm in Loudoun Co and looking for someone reliable.

I would do the install but there's no way for me to remove the equipment when it ships to my house.

I've had them deliver lifts for my assembly and I've also had them assemble another one when I wasn't in a position to do it myself. Good company.

I did not realize Backyard Buddy was now manufactured by Advantage Lifts.

I had the same issue with my BendPak delivery. I am in Southern Maryland, so I called some of the same people, to no avail.

I ended up having it delivered to a local lumber yard (local, not 84 or Lowe's), and they picked it off the delivery truck for me. Then loaded it on a roll-back tow-truck a few days later. Roll-back driver dropped it right in my driveway and we dismantled and installed it from there.
