I am ready to prepare quotes for the Dead Blow Extender. Lead time for red and green extenders will be 1-2 weeks. The lead time for blue extenders will be longer. This quoting process will give me an estimate of quantities needed by color. The extender will not be available on our website for 1-2 months.

The list price of the dead blow extender is $45. Forum members can purchase the extender for $36, 20% off list price. (The green extenders in the photo have yet to be trimmed and brushed.)

If you are interested in purchasing an extender, please send a PM to me that includes your name, address, and email. I will prepare a quote for your review.

Additionally, we will offer all other models of Trusty-Cook hammers at a 20% discount off list price. If your order is $100 or more, the order will qualify for free shipping. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

Thanks for the RFQs, everybody. I will be getting quotes out today and tomorrow.

We will be running blue next week, so the wait might not be too long for blue extenders.

Do I dare ask if there's any intention of making these in orange (or if not orange, then yellow)?

Is this solid material to use as a punch? Or does it also have shot in it for some sort of use? Thanks

Thanks for all the RFQs. We are running blue now, and we will probably have all three colors ready to ship at the same time. We've been very busy with private label orders, so we will brand the extenders when we have all three colors ready. Feel free to make special requests when asking for a quote. I've been finding hammers in colors that I didn't know were available.

Dead blow goodness came today, very happy with the purchase! I can't wait to watch my father (professional mechanic) open his up for his birthday later this month.6c9d0a63c44061c1ffc253792b5c2bba.jpg

Just curious, what exactly is the 'extender' used for?

The extender is a striking tool that has the same dead blow action as our hammers. You can strike using the extender alone, or you can whack the end of the extender with a hammer. The extender will enable a person to strike an object/spot that would be impossible to reach with a hammer. A body shop mechanic that I know told me that the extender has replaced the piece of 2X4 that he kept with his tool box.

Here's an update for Forum members waiting on extenders.

We have red extenders that need to be trimmed, brushed, and branded. I hope we get this done over the next day or two. We have a holiday coming up Monday, so Tuesday/Wednesday of next week would most likely be the earliest ship date for orders that include red extenders.

We had a disastrous run of blue extenders. We have one or two that we can brand. The others will hit the blem site or be scrapped. The extender is a new part for us, and the crew that was running blue had problems with the new mold, temperature, and adjusting to the problems. We also need to run more green extenders. I am getting RFQs and orders daily, and the numbers are growing. I’ve been converting quotes to orders in the order in which I received the RFQs. Sorry for the delays. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

No worries man. It's not reasonable for someone to get upset about waiting for something that a month ago wasn't even made anywhere in the world.

We could be waiting for a Tesla truck

We shipped our first red extender yesterday. I never expected this delay, so I am sending out emails to those who received and approved quotes for red extenders before I close orders. In the past, we’ve had a few customers change their minds after long waits. We also have some more green extenders ready to go. If you have a green/red combo, your order should ship in the next 2-3 days. We are shipping in order of RFQs—early dates are shipping first.

Here’s an update for those waiting for blue and combinations involving blue. We are currently running red and green. Our initial run of blue extenders was disastrous. All but a couple of the first run will be blems or scrapped-out. Productino has yet to give me a date for the next run of blue.

Sorry for the delays and problems. I’ll send emails to all of you who have received quotes before I close out and ship any orders.

We are running blue again, and the first two extenders that came off the liner look great. I will be reconfirming quotes and orders over the next couple of days. I should have this completed by Monday. We should be able to brand the extenders by midweek. Those of you looking for blue extenders and color combos will be hearing from me soon.

Sorry for the delays.

Blue extenders are heading out the door today. We do have some blue, red, and green extenders in stock right now. I will continue to process RFQs for extenders and hammers. Let me know if you need anything.

I want to thank everybody for their patience.

Thanks.

My blue one was delivered today along with nice little TC led flashlight. Thanks Richard

Although I don't have an immediate need, I am sure it will come in handy down the road. And of course my wife saw UPS delivering it and kind of gave me a WTF look along with questioning why this tool was needed :bounce:

The extender has the same dead blow action as a hammer when it is swung. There shot in the canister.
Does this dampen some of the initial action of the deadblow hammer? Or for all intents and purposes since the extender won't move much when hitting something really stuck, is it effectively the same as using a solid plastic punch (also useful).
Thanks!
