Hi - I have a line on a KRL1022PAW. It's 10 years old and Mica green in color. Just a few normal scratches etc otherwise in decent shape. Sorry don't have any pics.

Let me know what you guys think is a fair price. Local Snap-on truck guy says it's a repo.

Thanks much

Hey Shaun, I just picked up a krl722 that was technically used a month but the guy didn't even put the handle on or anything in the drawers. I got it for 2995.... pleeeease tell me I got a decent deal! :)

$2995 for a basically new KRL722 is a good deal.

Mica Green is at most 5-6 years old. I would agree with Shaun that $3500 would be a decent price for it.

Edited to add: There is no way that box can be 10 years old. It was 6-7 years ago that the KRL1022 was introduced. The model before that was the KRL1002

I think if you can get $3500 for it you are hitting a home run. The Snap on guys can always get premium dollars for used boxes cause that's what they do for a living and can finance them and deliver them (2 major advantages)

As a private seller, ask $3200 to $3500 and be prepared to settle for $2500 to $2800. I buy and sell tools and boxes for a hobby and haven't gotten over $3000 for one of those yet.

Also, clean the box inside and out, lube the slides if needed and make it look as good as it can. Of all the boxes I have bought, none were clean and that worked to my advantage as they were unable to sell them at the higher prices they asked and were more willing to negotiate.

Good luck.

Thanks guys for the quick responses. It has a stainless top and he will throw in the keys and give me the liners at cost. He said it has no mar guards. He's asking $3800 but I think he will come down some.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers

The stainless top goes for close to $800 new. Snap-on credit is running a promotion where you can get some free tools for spending more than $3000. Based on what you are telling us, this sounds like a good price for a KRL1022 on a tool truck.

Thanks a lot Chadster1 I'm going to pull the trigger tomorrow.

Cheers

and like he said if you spend over 3k and use the snap on financing they give you free stuff so make sure you find out about that. I think one of the tool sets is valued around 500 bucks?

Tell your dealer that he owes me a drink at the franchise conference in Nashville this year. :bounce:
