Hi!

I would like to start my thread - kind of a diary where i'll try to post up all my working progress, which i hope will be quick ;-)

Two words about my place - that is my first garage, which i rented like 2 weeks ago, because i'm already sick of weather and stupid people doing damage to my car.

It is REALLY small, the smallest on forum i believe, but hey - it's still a garage

It's kinda old, build like 20-25 years ago, repainted in 2001 by old couple, who sold the car month after, so it was empty for all those years.

Size - 285 cm width x 575 cm long

Here we go, the progress i've done so far.

Front - the "butter/brown color like"

First impression when i came, and sweeped the mighty-long-laying-dust out from the floor

I knew that this old fashion poor lights are not going to work well with my car detailing passion, so next day i decided to break the ice with electrics and drilling - my basically first time ever :shocking:

It took me alone 6 hours to make that stuff - 17m of cable, a lot of holes and few broken drills :headscrat

Lamps, cables, plug, and all the other stuff that i'm proud off :bounce:

Yupp, definitely brighter!

And todays thing - bought this 10$ shelf, you've gotta start with something right?

Plans?

Make this place nice. I mean checkered floor, red/gray/white walls, some posters and old fashioned metal plates, and that kind of stuff. I'm all into USA culture, 60's, music, cars and all that stuff. So i hope someday i'll have my own few meters of that atmosphere for my own...

best regards!
Adam

ps. sorry for any mistakes, as you can see in the location - i'm not a quite english speaking ;-)

Welcome to Garage Journal. That's small, but it's a nice space. Lots of potential.

(03KBDSGSnk, it looks like MusicMan is in southern Poland.)

Having a garage that you can escape to a good thing. Have fun fixing it to suit your needs and taste.

That's right folks - I'm polish.

Big thanks for such a nice reception and good words - you can never get enough of that!
And as i said, i hope that i'll "fit into" the Garage Journal forum fast, and will update topic as frequently as possible. Thats always just another motivation to do something, like - "damn, i haven't posted anynthing in last 5 days, maybe i'll do some painting or something?" ;)

Too bad that most of regular stuff to make that "american look", like old license plates, signs etc. are quite rare and hard to get here, but from the the other side - it will be more unique :)

I know prebuilt shelves are easier, but if you make your own you will have MUCH less wasted space. Unless you somehow get ones that fit perfectly.

Oh and welcome to GJ from another Polish guy. (well descent anyway!)

Quick update just to keep this thread alive - friend gave me nice 60 litres oil barrel (sadly - empty one ;) ). My plan goes like this, photoshopped quickly - hope it's gonna work when it will come to messing around with the saw ;-)

Thanks Guys! I dont have too much of spare time (working 10-19), but this garage will be my little place to hide.

Here's a quick and plucky preview how i would like it to look next year :)

How it is, and how it's gonna be
