Nice to see you back at work after a F E W short vacations site seeing and all
The cabinets are shaping up nicely and the yard shots are how I remember it to be when I was there. My blacksmith shop is quite antiquated compared to yours but you are welcome too come and show me how to use it.

Interesting.

I posted a re-lay earlier, but it did it post in the thread.

Was just saying, nice to have loyal company, and I am glad to see you have not sold my rusty relics in the background.

Thanks for stopping by, Don.

I may just have to fire up your forge and do a little work.

Great Andy!

Thanks, Vladimir!

The casting came out well. Here it is before drilling and relieving for wrench clearance.

Then drilled and cleaned up. The old carburetor does limit the horsepower on the engine but not too much.

Nice work Andy. Finally got my gas forge together and the shed is about done for the Unisaw. Got to remember to get some pictures up now that I am finished running. Looks like we are all settling in for the "long haul."

Used my old piece of peg board from the Pharmacy shelving to drill shelf holes for the refrigerator cabinet.

They came out OK.

Then it was time to cut drawers

The dovetail jig works great so long as you thickness your bards to match each other (I wanted 5/8" thick anyway) and pay attention to setup and alignment.

Dust and hearing protection is important.

All ready for sanding and assembly

Happy Thanksgiving, Andy! Amazing job on the adapter.
How are you attaching the bottoms to the drawers? The dovetails turned out great. I have a similar jig for dovetails. When I set it up I spend as much time measuring and remeasuring to ensure my project fits together properly.

That production line looks like it's working pretty well.

We didn't make any extra pieces, did not come up short, and did not mix any on assembly.:eyecrazy:

It's so not like me!

Never a doubt that you would finish up this project. Looks good buddy.

I stopped in to wish you a happy thanksgiving

Don

Thanks, Don. Hope you had a Thanksgiving with electricity!

You did a good job and got a great result!

Thanks, Vladfinger!

Oooh, great idea, but with Don's polish there would be no stopping.:willy_nil

not so much work, but a little tedious.

Thanks! The adapter did work well.

Drawer bottoms fit in dadoes in the sides. Dadoes are cut to go through the pins and don't show in blind dovetails. I think if you are making one drawer it takes a lot more time to get setup than to cut the joints. I was making nine drawers and even though there were three heights I didn't have to mess with my setup.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family.

Hershey, Spot make sure Andy gives you extra bones.

Thanks, Shorty. They did get extra treats and sat around all afternoon sleeping in front of the squirrel football game.

I pray you enjoy your Thanksgiving .

Thank you. I had a nice day. Went to my old A-Frame house I moved out of in 1985. It's where my new friend lives. Had a great time telling friends and family who knew me when I lived there, where I was. My son has COVID and his parents were reluctant so we met up at my old house, his new house.

Happy Thanksgiving Andy, have a blessed day

Thank you. We had another great day today, I sat on the bench I made for my friend's wife. She's a great cook and has a five week old baby I cuddled.

A beautiful Thanksgiving day here in Oklahoma! Hope you are enjoying it too, Andy.

Yesterday and today! You're so close and never come to visit!

Happy Thanksgiving, Andy!

Thank you!

We are all blessed (or we wouldn't have time for garages and the internet) and I am slowly gaining speed after my wife's death. I hope everyone appreciates the good things in their lives.

Andy, I really like your Show Vruck. The body on the '72 Corvette is already raised off the frame so with a few more inches I could have a Show Vette. Sure would save me a lot of time, money and work.

Think about this very carefully, Bob. Your propensity for driving naked may hit some roadblocks with a Show Vette. But I'll come visit you even if Liane won't.

Of course, you could wind up being the Grand Marshal of a parade filled with lonely widows...

It’s cold in Florida and Bob probably doesn’t come out in the cold, especially naked.

So there are sad ladies all over southern Florida? :willy_nil

I had a little excitement. Went to Houston for surgery. Interesting to a country goober, they have sensors in parking garages to show green where there are empty spaces, red when the space is occupied.

attachment.php

Really takes the fun out of parking in an almost full garage. :willy_nil

Surgery prep is different without a wife waiting outside.

All came out well, by the way, along with eight weeks recovery.

Interesting couch at MD Anderson

Either stone or a casting, with lots of inlay. Not as soft as it looks.

OK, back to cleaning my shop!
