Is this thing even worth buying? She wants $450 for it and the trailer. Its an 80 gallon set up.

No complaints with my 20yo Speedaire. Basic meat & potatoes compressor.

That one looks a little rough.... could be cosmetic. Have to hear it run, check the oil, make sure the tank isn't rusting through.

I'm debating about this one or just buying a new quincy 60 gallon.

That one looks more like 40 years old, if the tank is rusty pass on it.

Her husband said it runs and he drains the tank. But yeah, I'd imagine the tank may have some rust inside of it. Would save money BUT risk of it messing up by the time I start using it

Speedaire does not make compressors themselves. It is a Grainger house brand filled by various manufacturers. This pump looks like a Champion R15. They are very good, long lasting compressor pumps. All tanks start rusting the day they are made. Be wary of heavy pitting or pin holes in the tank. Also be wary of compressor oil in the tank. Depending on the trailer it may be worth it.

Replaced my tank after 25 years...still going strong.

Great working compressor...like mentioned by others...for that price I need to hear it and see if it makes pressure. The tank can be replaced...but not cheap either.
