These are "water pump pliers", not the same as "cobra" pliers, more like Channellock.

Menards usually has some good prices on Knipex. I've gotten some good deals there in the past.

Unfortunately, this is a discontinued Sears item.

If we ever try to get a warranty replacement in the future, then I'm afraid Stanley Black & Decker will send one of their China-made pliers.

I've already started babying a lot of my older Craftsman tools.

Have you ever broken a pair of pliers? Do you think you'll get a replacement on Knipex ones if you somehow do, or wear out the jaws. yeah, the Craftsman warranty was great, but....

I use to abuse my craftsman needle nose pliers b/c I knew I could swap them out. Now I have a worn out pair of needle nose pliers with bent tips....

These days, Sears customer service gives you the phone number for Craftsman (Stanley Black & Decker), and the Craftsman automated answering service transfers you back to Sears.

If you do succeed in getting help , either Sears will send you a Sears gift card or Craftsman will send you the most similar Craftsman item manufactured by SBD.

Well, one of the two replacements showed up today and I have a UPS delivery coming tomorrow, so maybe they will both make it here after all. We shall see...

Might want to check Woot late at night, I was able to order one around midnight into Monday after the 2nd round sold out, and they were gone by the time I got to work at 7:30AM.
