Sears loss is my gain! Installation!

Our local Sears announced it was going out of business this month. I went there looking for a deal on tools and to be honest I couldn't find anything to purchase. Then I walked past two large carts with Sears Craftsman Garage Floor tile for 50 cents a tile! I ended up getting 455 square feet of free flow black and gray for $200.00 including all the edging trim! I am super stoked! The plan is to power wash it and install in the spring.

The finished product minus a couple of trim pieces I had to order:rocker:

They used that flooring in most of the tool departments I have been in over the last decade. I assume these were the tiles that they literally took up off the floor of the store. Talk about a carcass getting picked to the bones.

Our Sears is literally selling all the fixtures, display cases and stands but the store is open until after Christmas. The flooring says "Craftsman" on them, does anyone know the actual manufacturer, I am thinking maybe Gladiator?

Great find. And price!!! I paid $1 each

Are there more? Where are you (well, the SEARS in question).

Myrtle Beach SC. I am afraid they are all gone. I went back the next day just to pick up some red tile in case I wanted to incorporate it and there was nothing left.

I agree with Lumber... ^^^

4 bits a bop? Damn, I wish when OUR Sears shut down I'd thought of that.

So, after you get them down don't forget to post pix.

Will do, It's killing me but I need to wait until March when it warms up and I can empty the garage:drool:

What value do the floor tiles provide as suppose to just painting the floor?

My Free Flow tiles allow any moisture that comes into the garage to drain through the slots and follow the slope of the concrete floor to the overhead door. Her daily driver drags in rain, sleet, ice, snow, slush and grit that ends up draining through. No puddles to track into the house. My tiles are not nearly as slick when wet as is my neighbor's coated and flaked floor or the other guy's who painted his floor. The floor covering should match the intended use of the garage. My garage makes a great place to wash my Mach 1 out of direct sunlight and I do so in my bare feet. After reading so many posts that are discussed here regarding liquid coatings and the problems associated with them led me to spend the extra money on the RaceDeck Free Flow tiles. No prep other than sweeping. No drying time. No smell. The hardest part was deciding on a pattern to lay. After 7 years I have not 1 regret about my choice. CJDave.
